There are many dining locations to choose from while visiting Walt Disney World.  From signature dining to character dining and everything in between, Disney has a restaurant for everyone.  We are going to look at our top ten restaurants to visit at Walt Disney World with kids.  These are going to be a combination of character dining, family-style, and maybe even a signature meal.  Let’s take a look so you get can your dining reservations made today.

Whispering Canyon

Whispering Canyon- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, kids will love the all-you-care-to-eat skillets and fun.  Enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner here is a great way to take a break during your Magic Kingdom Day.  Hop on a boat and enjoy the beautiful ride over to this amazing Disney Resort.

Head here hungry as you can enjoy endless platters filled with delicious biscuits, waffles, smoked meats and so much more.  We love this dining location for kids as it provides a variety of options and once they find something they like, they can keep ordering it.

This dining location is also known for entertainment and a little bit of roundness making it a great place for kids to fit in.  No worrying about being quiet during this meal.

Liberty Tree

Liberty Tree Tavern-  Magic Kingdom

Hidden in Liberty Square, this New England-inspired restaurant is filled with historical touches.  Opened for both lunch and dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern is also an all-you-care-to-enjoy experience.  Here Guests can enjoy turkey breasts, pot roast, and oven-roasted pork.  

Kids will be able to pick and choose what they want to eat all while looking at the historical theme room.   The famous Ooey Gooey toffee cake will definitely be a kid’s favorite covered with chocolate sauce and served with vanilla ice cream.

‘Ohana- Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Begin your magical day with a fun breakfast at ‘Ohana located in the beautiful Polynesian Resort.  O’hana offers both breakfast and dinner with Stitch. Lilo and their friends soon return for breakfast fun.

O’hana is a family-style meal where items are brought to the table to share.  In the evenings for dinner, Guests can enjoy grilled teriyaki beef, grilled chicken, and the beloved ‘Ohana noodles.

Not only will kids love seeing Stitch and Lilo, but the food options give them choices to find something they will enjoy.

Topolino’s Terrace- Breakfast a la Art with Mickey & Friends- Disney’s Riveria

If you are looking for a magical way to start your day at Walt Disney World, look no further than the breakfast offered at Topolino’s Terrace located in the gorgeous Riveria Resort.

This prix fixe menu offers a variety of delicious breakfast entrees that will make everyone in the family happy.  The best part of the meal (besides the pastries) is being able to see Mickey and his friends.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy all make appearances in their stylish outfits that are unique to Topolino’s Terrace.  This meal has it all for kids.  Beautiful views, great food, and exciting character experiences.  This is a top choice for dining with (and to be honest without) kids.

50’s Prime Time Cafe- Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If your kids like comfort food, then 50’s Prime Time Cafe is the place to go for lunch and dinner while in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  This all-American cafe is like walking into Mom’s kitchen from the 1950s.

Kids will enjoy looking at all of the decorations and watching the old table tv that places popular clips from the 1955 era.  There isn’t anything super fancy about the menu here, but we love having good fried chicken while enjoying the atmosphere of the cafe.

Sci Fi

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant– Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Enjoy a meal and a show while eating in a drive-in theatre right in the middle of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Kids will love being able to sit in a car-shaped booth while watching clips of sci-fi movies on the big screen.  

The lunch and dinner menu offers basic food, but kids might enjoy the classic options found here.  Keep in mind that the restaurant is darker because of the films being shown.

Mickey Tusker House

Tusker House– Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Donald and his friend are waiting for you at Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  This family-style menu brings a variety of African-inspired flavors along with American classics that the kids will enjoy.

Serving all meals, Tusker House is a great way to escape the heat while visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Kids will love seeing some of their favorite Disney friends in the safari gear ready for an adventure.

Garden Grill

Garden Grill- EPCOT

Kids will love seeing Chip ‘n’ Dale along with their pals at Garden Grill located in the Land Pavilion at EPCOT.  Not only do characters stop by, but this restaurant also rotates throughout the meal giving Guests views of the Living with the Land ride below.  If your kids need to be entertained during a meal, Garden Grill is a great option.

The feast provides a variety of meals and veggies that will keep everyone happy and full.

Beaches and Cream

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop- Disney’s Beach Club

This retro soda fountain is sure to be a hit with kids and adults.  Serving not only great food but also amazing ice cream, Beaches and Cream is a top choice for kids.

Don’t worry if they don’t finish their meal, they will still be able to enjoy some dessert at Beaches and Cream.  Kids will love having ice cream as part of their meal.

Hoop de doo musical review

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

For an entertaining meal filled with music and comedy, head on over to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.  We are thrilled that Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is once again entertaining Guests.  Kids will love the ongoing laughs as well as the all-you-care-to-eat fried chicken, and cornbread, and don’t forget the strawberry shortcake.

This meal is filled with fun and food that will keep happy the whole time.

Those are our ten current restaurants at Walt Disney World that we would recommend heading to with kids.  They all offer a variety of food options as well as some entertainment to keep kids busy during the meal.  Make sure that you get those dining reservations made early though if you want to enjoy one of these options.
