DISNEY RESORTS

Where to Stay at Disney

Step one for having the best trip to Walt Disney World is to book the best Disney Resort for your family. Getting wrapped up in what everyone else says is the best Disney Resort can be accessible. Take time to dig into what all the different Disney Resorts offer.

Walt Disney World has three different categories. Each category provides Guests with different amenities and price points. Value Resorts is the best choice for your money while being able to stay in the Disney bubble. Moderate Resorts have more amenities, such as slides and table service dining, but at a lower price. Finally, Deluxe Resorts has the highest price point and offers Disney Parks the best amenities and locations.

Take time to research which Resort will be the best for your family. By doing this research, you are setting your trip up to be better than your neighbor, who might choose the Resort everyone else is talking about.

Take Time to Understand Genie+

Be ahead of your neighbors and others by planning for Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. Disney Genie, and with that free planning service came two paid options. Guests can choose to add to their tickets.

Genie+ starts at $15/day/person and gives Guests access to the Lightning Lane for over 40 attractions throughout the four Parks. Rides in each of the four parks aren’t included in Genie+ but can be purchased al-a-carte and are called Individual Lightning Lanes.

Before heading down to Walt Disney World, think about your touring plans and goals for each Park to determine if these purchases will be a reasonable cost for your family.

Be a step ahead of everyone else by going in with a clear plan, what you want to do regarding these features, and how to use them if you purchase them. Attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash, Jungle Cruise, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Peter Pan’s Flight see their sections go quickly. Having a clear (ish) understanding of these features can help you be one step ahead of others and positively impact your vacation.

My Disney Experience App

Use My Disney Experience

One of the essential items you will use throughout your Disney vacation is your phone. You need this to access My Disney Experience, the Walt Disney World app. Now more than ever before, this app is vital to a Walt Disney World vacation.

It is through this app that Guests can navigate their way around the Disney Parks and Disney Resorts. They can enter their Disney Resort hotel room, book Genie+, order food, and more.

Don’t be like your neighbor who will download the app at the airport on the way down and be super frustrated with it all vacation.

Download the app and take time to navigate it from home. There is so much to offer, and it can be overwhelming, but if you take home to check out what it offers, you won’t be as frustrated once on vacation.

Plan Your Food Out

Another way you will make your trip better than your neighbor’s is because you will have a plan when it comes to dining. If you want to experience some of Walt Disney World’s excellent table-service meals throughout the four Theme Parks or any of the Resorts, make sure you are booking those reservations 60 days before your vacation.

Popular locations such as Steakhouse 71, Space 220, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and O’hana book up quickly, so you will want to ensure you snag those right away.

For those that don’t want to book table service meals, it is still essential to have a general food plan. Quick service locations provide mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app. Make sure you place your orders early on to ensure you get the pick-up window of your choice.

During busy times of the year, you will quickly see the mobile order return window book up. Be prepared for this by placing orders early in the day, knowing you can adjust them as needed.

By having a food plan, you will be a step ahead of everyone else and have a much better experience regarding food while on vacation.

Have a Plan

Finally, make your trip better by having a plan. Most people think they can still show up at the Magic Kingdom and have a great time. However, some might be able to do this successfully. It would help if you showed up with a general plan.

Take time to think about what your must-do activities are each day. What rides, shows, snacks, etc. do you want to ensure you don’t miss? Doing this will set you up for success when you arrive at the Disney Parks. You will know where to go and what to focus on each day. This will make a big difference in your vacation plans.

Use these tips to make your Disney vacation better than your neighbors!
