Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Operations Canceled Mid-Ride at Disneyland
Disneyland Park guests experienced a surprising interruption on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure after the ride was unexpectedly canceled mid-operation. This marks the second time one Disney Park guest has been evacuated from Disneyland Resort’s latest attraction, which officially opened on November 15, 2024.
A New Era of Splash Mountain
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a retheme of the iconic Splash Mountain, takes guests on a musical journey through New Orleans with Princess Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), Louis the alligator (Michael-Leon Wooley), and Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis). The revamped log flume ride has been a much-anticipated addition to Disneyland Park, replacing the controversial Song of the South (1946) attraction.
While the Walt Disney World Resort version of the Princess and the Frog (2009) ride, which opened this summer, experienced several technical issues during its early previews, the Disneyland Resort iteration launched more smoothly. However, it seems even this new experience isn’t immune to operational hiccups.
A Mid-Ride Cancelation on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
TikTok user @drewthedisneymaniac shared a video of his second evacuation from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. In the TikTok video, the Disney Park guest documented his unexpected adventure and showed viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the evacuation process:

The clip shows Disneyland Resort cast members escorting guests out of their logs, down emergency stairs, and through a backstage area. As a token of appreciation for their patience, evacuated guests were reportedly given Lightning Lane passes to enjoy another attraction later in the day.
“Bro! You’re so lucky that you’ve gotten stuck twice on that ride!” one commenter wrote. “I’ve wanted to get stuck on that ride so bad!”
What Went Wrong?
It’s unclear what caused the interruption, as Disneyland Resort has not provided an official statement. Technical glitches and unforeseen malfunctions are not uncommon for newly launched attractions, and operations resumed shortly after the incident. Guests are encouraged to check the Disneyland Resort app for up-to-date ride statuses.
