Disney’s ‘Bluey’ Attraction

The blending of Bluey‘s world with the iconic charm and enchantment of Disney theme parks has the potential to create a truly unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. The whimsical and adventurous spirit of Bluey, coupled with the enchanting atmosphere of Disney parks, promises a delightful fusion of imagination and wonder that is sure to captivate fans and families alike. The thought of wandering through Bluey’s TV world, exploring familiar settings from the show, and perhaps even meeting Bluey, Bingo, and their family in person is enough to spark joy and anticipation in the hearts of fans who have come to love the endearing characters.

The magic of Disney and the warmth of Bluey’s world merging to form a special attraction has the power to offer a unique and immersive experience that celebrates the values of friendship, family, and play that are central to the Bluey series. With so much to look forward to, the potential for a Bluey theme park attraction at Disney is a dream that fans hope will soon become a reality, promising a joyous and unforgettable adventure for all who step into this vibrant and colorful world. It was for these reasons that fans have begged and wished for a Bluey attraction at a Disney theme park.

In November of 2023, fans of Bluey were thrilled to hear that a new Bluey attraction would be arriving at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. This attraction was called  “The Heeler Family Hide ‘N’ Seek Scavenger Hunt.” At this attraction, fans could experience the joy of the Bluey through a scavenger hunt adventure throughout the camping grounds. While it was a minimal attraction, the impact of this idea was felt throughout the entire park.

Why Did It Fail?

Unfortunately, this attraction only lasted for a few days before it eventually shut down at Disney. Many fans found themselves confused and saddened by this attraction’s closure. The main question lingering in fans ‘ minds was, “why can’t ‘Bluey’ exist at Disney?”

One of the primary reasons for Bluey’s absence from Disney parks could be attributed to the fact that she is a character from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and produced by Ludo Studio, which limits the character’s presence in other themed American entertainment venues such as Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort.

The licensing and intellectual property rights surrounding Bluey also play a role in her absence from Disney parks. Given that Bluey is a relatively new and rapidly growing brand, the negotiations and agreements required to feature her in a Disney park attraction may still be in progress or have not yet been fully realized. Disney may have the rights to the show on Disney+, but the company still has not been able to secure the rights in the theme park.

While Bluey may not be at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort anytime soon, fans can find Bluey in parks beyond. For example, an entire new Bluey theme park is opening up in Australia, Bluey’s home continent.

Bluey’s World is set to be a vibrant and immersive theme park attraction that promises days of fun and excitement for families and children of all ages. Located in Brisbane, Australia, this theme park will stand out as a must-visit destination for fans of the popular animated series. From interactive experiences to thrilling rides, Bluey’s World captures the essence of the beloved show in a way that truly brings it to life. The website says;

“Embark on a special journey with Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli. Immerse yourself in a day in the life of the Heeler family through Bluey’s World – a life-sized immersive experience featuring your beloved characters, iconic episode locations, fun interactive games, and delightful surprises.
