6 Secret Fireworks Viewing Spots in Walt Disney World

When visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, every Guest hopes to end their day with Disney fireworks. Guests can stay in a Disney theme park late into the evening and experience the fireworks. Alternatively, they can retire to their Disney Resort hotel and enjoy the fireworks from a distance.

Currently, there are three nighttime spectaculars to enjoy around Walt Disney World. Disney Enchantment lights up the sky above Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park. Harmonious brings Disney music and stories together with a medley of Disney classics over World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests can enjoy Fantasmic! in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, off Sunset Boulevard, twice per evening. Unfortunately, Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t have a nighttime spectacular. This is to keep the animals happy and safe.

While Disney Enchantment and Harmonious are currently showing, there is only a limited time for Guests to enjoy these shows. The final performances of these nighttime spectaculars take place on April 2, 2023. On April 3, EPCOT Forever will return to EPCOT World Showcase at 9 p.m. Similarly, Happily Ever After will return to Magic Kingdom at 9 p.m.

Undoubtedly, the best place to experience Disney fireworks from inside a Disney Park. You can’t beat watching Disney Enchantment from Main Street, U.S.A., or Harmonious from the World Showcase Plaza. However, there are other places to enjoy them around the Walt Disney World Resort. Alternative locations give you a break from the crowds. They also help you to enjoy a slower evening. Here are the secret spots to enjoy Disney fireworks.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Marina

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a popular place for Guests to stop by and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The beach area at the Disney Resort offers a distant view of Cinderella Castle across Seven Seas Lagoon. But this isn’t the only Disney Resort that offers Magic Kingdom fireworks viewing. Actually, our favorite spot is at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

The marina is located just in front of Gasparilla Island Grill. Arrive early enough, and you can secure a table and chairs. We recommend dining here for dinner or getting a snack or beverage while you wait at your table. Alternatively, Guests can perch on the wall or step toward the water’s edge. Disney Enchantment is currently played through the speakers around the marina every evening to accompany the fireworks. This will also happen for Happily Ever After when it returns.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Like the marina at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the walkway in front of Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a great spot to enjoy the fireworks. The music is played through the speakers to accompany the fireworks. While you won’t get a view of Cinderella Castle here, the reflections of the fireworks in Bay Lake are beautiful to see.

This spot could offer a perfect ending to a delicious dinner at Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Alternatively, retire to the lounge chairs after the fireworks, and enjoy an evening beverage. Stay long enough, and you’ll see the Electrical Water Pageant.

Bay Lake Tower Walkway, Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Another place to get a great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show is on the walkway that connects Disney’s Contemporary Resort to Bay Lake Tower. The fireworks soundtrack is played through the speakers on the walkway to accompany nighttime viewing. Find your spot along the walkway around ten minutes before showtime. While you’re watching, keep a lookout for a Hidden Mickey firework. They are often easier to spot when watching outside of a Disney Park.

The Landing, Disney Springs

If you plan on visiting Disney Springs during the evening, you may see Disney fireworks from a distance. Take a seat in the theatre near The BOATHOUSE at The Landing. While you won’t get to hear the nighttime spectacular music, fireworks from Magic Kingdom provide the perfect backdrop to the live music performances.

Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course

Disney mini golf makes for a perfect evening activity away from the Disney Parks. Time it right, and you can play to the Fantasmic! soundtrack. Sing along and look out for the fireworks as you take a shot (or two) at each hole. Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course is located across the street from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests can access it by taking a FriendShip Boat or Disney bus to the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts. Follow the signs to the Swan Reserve, and you’ll find it across the street from the Resort.

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, Disney’s Riviera Resort

This Disney restaurant is well known for its Disney Character Breakfast. But did you know that it also has a rooftop terrace? Guests of Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera can enjoy rooftop views over Walt Disney World during their dining experiences. If you are yet to dine there for dinner, secure an advance dining reservation during your next Disney vacation. Eating around 7:30 p.m. will allow you to enjoy your dinner before retiring to the rooftop terrace to enjoy a unique view of Harmonious.

Transportation Dock, Disney’s Yacht Club

You may be familiar with the lighthouse that overlooks Crescent Lake. This is the transportation dock for Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Stop by for an excellent location to watch Harmonious from. While the music isn’t played on the pier, Guests may be able to hear the music from EPCOT. Watch the fireworks light up the sky, and enjoy the reflections in the water below.
