The 10 Things We Always Have in Our Disney Parks Bag

You might feel like you are going to end up carrying everything with you when you head to the Walt Disney World Parks during your vacation. We are here to let you know that you don’t need to take a huge backpack with you.

Having a large backpack can not only get extremely hot, but it can become uncomfortable and heavy throughout the day. Narrow down what you bring with you into the Parks by taking a look at the ten things we always carry into a Walt Disney World Park.

Use this list to narrow down what you need to bring to just the essentials.

1. Portable Chargers

The number one item that we make sure we have with us when heading to Disney Parks is a portable charger. Staying connected to My Disney Experience which allows us to use Genie+, see wait times, and navigate the day is so important.

We don’t want to end up with a dead phone. To prevent this from happening we always have a portable charger with us. It is also important to have those cords as well. Come prepared to stay charged and connected.

2. Money

Even though we can use our MagicBands to charge to our rooms, we like to make sure we also have our ID and money with us. Typically we carry our ID and credit card with us at all times. If we are wanting an adult beverage, or if our MagicBand isn’t working correctly, it is nice to have a backup.

Sunglasses

3. Sunglasses

It can be super easy to forget sunglasses when heading to a Disney Theme Park, but they are so important.  Being outside all day, sunglasses are super important for keeping your eyes protected.

Have an extra pair tossed in your backpack just in case you forget to grab them in the morning as you head out for the day.  Squinting in the sun can cause lots of headaches which isn’t any fun.

Rain At Disney World

4. RainGear

No matter what the weather app tells us, we still always have rain gear with us at Disney. Random storms pop up suddenly and having a poncho or umbrella to throw on can be a huge help. Grab some cheap ponchos or a small umbrella so you are ready when the rain shows up.

5. Fan

This might seem silly, but we have started to make sure we always have a portable fan with us in our Park bag. Having some air movement during the heat of the day can make or break how we feel. There are so many small, portable ones that we find easy to carry with us.

6. Water Bottle

Staying hydrated in Walt Disney World is extremely important. To ensure we are constantly having water, we make sure we bring a water bottle with us. We can easily refill it throughout Walt Disney World with the ice water that is provided.

This is a great way to save money on bottled water while making sure everyone remains hydrated throughout the trip.

7. Lip Balm

Something that might catch you off guard is how much your lips dry out in the humidity of Florida. To help keep them protected from the sun and moisturized, make sure you throw in some lip balm. This will make you feel so much better than chapped lips during vacation.

We have found this to be even more important while wearing masks throughout the day.  Our lips become even drier than ever before.  Keep that lip balm in a side pocket so you can easily access it throughout the day.

8. Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an item we always have in our park bag for Walt Disney World no matter when we are traveling.  Even if you think it is going to be cold and rainy, make sure you toss a travel sunscreen just in case.

The sun in Florida is really intense and even on rainy days it sneaks out and causes discomfort.  We like to make sure we are protected by having some sunscreen with us in the Disney Parks.  This also allows us to reapply throughout the day as well.

Hand Sanitizer

9. Wipes and Hand Sanitizer

We have always been the ones that have our own hand sanitizer and wipes with us in the Parks.  We like being able to access these items whenever we need them.

Our hand sanitizer actually clips to the outside of our bag so we can easily access it when coming off a ride, getting ready to eat, or just when we feel the need to use some.  This makes it so easy to find instead of having to dig through our bags.

Wipes are super helpful for messes that happen when eating those delicious Mickey bars for cleaning off a spot to eat. Disney typically tries to keep up with cleaning, but it is always nice to have our own as well.

10. Over-the-Counter Medicine

Finally, we like to make sure we have over-the-counter medicine with us when we are in the Parks. Different foods, rides, and heat can cause headaches and tummy issues. Having some medicine on hand can help with those issues quickly.

Those are the ten items that we always have with us when heading into a Walt Disney World Park. These are the items that we find the most useful and the ones that we tend to use the most. Although you might have other needs, these are the ten we always have with us when visiting Walt Disney World.
