Stitch Causes Chaos at Disney Park, Innocent Cast Member Caught in the Middle

If there is one character known for the havoc that he wreaks, it is Experiment 626 — AKA Stitch. The adorable blue alien was first introduced in 2002, with the release of the film Lilo & Stitch. Since then, Stitch has become a Disney fan favorite, who has made his way onto a ton of cute Disney merchandise. He even had his own attraction — Stitch’s Great Escape — from 2004 to 2018 in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.

Stitch is also a really fun character that guests can meet at multiple Disney theme parks. In Disney World, guests can see Stitch in both the Magic Kingdom and at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village. He’s not often found at Disneyland Resort, unless there is a special event. But over at Disneyland Paris, guests can see Stitch almost every day at the Old Mill in Fantasyland.

And now that we are celebrating the holiday season, Disneyland Paris guests can see him in his Santa Claus outfit!

When it comes to Stitch, you always have to be on your game because you never know what could happen. One Disneyland Paris cast member recently learned that the hard way.

In a video posted to TikTok, Santa Stitch is seen shaking an umbrella. It had apparently been raining, and a large puddle had formed on top of the umbrella. Stitch shook the umbrella too hard, and the water splashed on top of the innocent cast member who was, unfortunately, standing under it!

The startled cast member walks away as a guilty-looking Stitch follows and tries to apologize. Thankfully, it appears that the Disney park cast member was not too upset and even appeared to be smiling after the accidental shower.

Stitch is Coming Back to Theaters

Since the release of Lilo & Stitch in 2002, there have been a number of sequel films and television shows. Disney has featured the little alien in Stitch! The Movie (2003), Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (2005), Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003), Leroy & Stitch (2006), and Stitch! (2008).

Now, Disney is bringing Lilo & Stitch back to life in a whole new way — with a live-action remake! The film is currently filming and, while we don’t know when it will be released, Disney has seemingly confirmed that it will be released straight to Disney+.

It will not be the first live-action released straight to Disney+. Disney also released Pinocchio in 2022 and Mulan in 2020. However, Mulan was supposed to be released in theaters, but Disney was unable to do so because of the pandemic. Then there were live-actions that were released on Disney+ the same day they hit theaters, including Black Widow and Cruella.

The Lilo & Stitch live-action remake will star Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Lilo’s older sister Nani, Billy Magnussen as Agent Pleakley, and Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles. Chris Sanders — who created and wrote the original movie — will return as the voice of Stitch.
