Not To Miss Rides in Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World with four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, and Disney Springs has so much to see and do it is impossible to do during one Disney trip.  So what should you prioritize?  We have the top rides in each of the four Theme Parks to help you determine where you want to focus your touring plans in each Disney Park.

Magic Kingdom

The hardest Disney Park to narrow down our favorite as there are so many great rides to choose from is Magic Kingdom.  From amazing classic rides that have been around since Walt Disney World opened to high- thrills, there is something for every mood here.

Pirates of the Caribbean- Adventureland

Our top ride in Magic Kingdom is Pirates of the Caribbean.  This ride has a little of everything which is why we find it a top ride not to miss.  Not only does it have amazing theming throughout the whole ride, but we also love the fact that it is both a water ride, a boat ride, and a dark ride all wrapped into one amazing experience.

We absolutely love Pirates of the Caribbean and never miss a chance to take a ride.

Haunted Mansion- Liberty Square

Another top ride we never miss in Magic Kingdom is Haunted Mansion.  This iconic ride is one of the best that Disney has to offer.  Guests travel through a mansion that is haunted.  Outstanding special effects bring this ride to life making it both exciting and thrilling.

Haunted Mansion is one where the experience starts in the queue and continues even as you exit the ride.  We love how immersive this ride is and feel it is one that never gets old as we see something new each and every time we ride.

Splash Mountain- Frontierland

Splash Mountain is another favorite ride in Magic Kingdom.  Not only is it a longer ride which makes your investment in waiting worth it, but we also love how it offers songs, entertainment, and of course some big drops.   Even though it is going to be changed with a new Princess and the Frog overlay, we think it will remain a favorite of Guests.

The views from Splash Mountain are absolutely outstanding as well.  Catch this at night for a firework display that is breathtaking.

EPCOT

Although EPCOT is undergoing a lot of construction right now, there are still some excellent options when it comes to rides.  We are anticipating that Guardians of the Galaxy:  Cosmic Rewind will be a not to miss ride once it opens at the end of May.

Test Track

The first ride we are going to suggest as a not to miss ride in EPCOT is Test Track.  This ride simulates testing a car in a variety of different elements.  The most popular part of the ride is when Guests are shot outside as the ride wraps up with a 65 mph race around an outdoor track.

Even though adults might not find it super exciting, kids love the rush of the ride and the excitement of seeing how their individual car does at each of the different tests.

Remy’s Ratotoulie Advdenture- France Pavilion

The current new ride in EPCOT is found back in the France Pavilion.  Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless 4D ride that shrinks Guests down to the size of Remy and his friends as they rush the kitchen and try to remain hidden.

Guests of all ages can ride this together making it a family-friendly experience that shouldn’t be missed.  Everyone will leave laughing after having a great time together.

Soarin’ Around the World- Land Pavilion

The final ride that we personally would suggest as a must-ride would be Soarin’ Around the World in the Land Pavilion.  Here Guests are taken to see a variety of different important landmarks as they “hang-glide”.

We love how this ride combines a variety of senses to make us feel like we are soaring around the different landscapes around the world.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

There are some fantastic rides to choose from in Disney’s Hollywood Studios when it comes to top rides not to miss.  There are so many thrill rides that are new and exciting that it can be difficult to narrow down our favorites.

Rise of the Resistance- Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Rise of the Resistance has to be the top experience in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Depending on your ride style, this experience ranks right up there with Avatar Flight of Passage.  Rise of the Resistance puts Guests right in the middle of the action as they become a part of the story.  This is like nothing else you will ever experience and it is fantastic.

Slinky Dog Dash- Toy Story Land

Slinky Dog Dash is a fun, family center coaster in Toy Story Land that will leave Guests screaming and laughing with joy.  With two small launches, a fun drop as well as a few dips it has a little of everything.  Don’t miss the great views from this coaster as well.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

The newest ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.  This family-friendly ride is the first where Mickey becomes the center of the ride.  Travel with Mickey and friends in a unique 2-½ D experience and find yourself amazed at the outstanding and breathtaking visuals in this ride.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has transformed itself over the last few years and has some of the best rides in Walt Disney World.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Although there aren’t a lot of rides to choose from in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the ones that this Park does have are unique and shouldn’t be missed.

Avatar Flight of Passage- Pandora

Leading the way is Avatar Flight of Passage.  Here Guests can soar on the back of a banshee as they experience the world of Pandora.  This ride is extremely unique and is one of the top rides right now in Disney World.

Expedition Everest- Asia

Expedition Everest is next on the top list at Animal Kingdom.  This unique coaster has it all.  It goes backward, in the dark, and is extremely fast.  The overall theme can’t be beaten either as the artifacts in the queue really set the scene.  This adventure to see the Yeti is an absolute must.

Safari

Kilimanjaro Safari- Africa

It isn’t surprising that Kilimanjaro Safaris is top of the list as well.  This ride is also extremely unique but in a totally different way.  Here Guests can enjoy looking at live animals as they roam the safari in Animal Kingdom.  There are so many animals to see and every ride is truly different.  Get up and close to giraffes, okapi, elephants, and lions.

We love these special rides that we find in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
