Magic Kingdom 101: A Rookie’s Guide to Disney’s Most Popular Park

10. Get There Early

Like I always say, early birds meet the mouse. It’s always a good idea to arrive early, sometimes at least an hour before the gates open. This way, you’ll not only be able to catch the morning show/opening ceremony and be able to witness the magic and pageantry brought about by Mickey and his crew, but also beat most of the crowd to some of the more popular rides and attractions. Big name pieces like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad can get lines with up to a two hour wait time, so it’s always wise to try to knock them out first to sate your thrill-seeking appetites.
