Disney Guests Find “Hack” for Free Lightning Lane Access – Here’s How

A recent TikTok video showed a Disneyland Resort guest turning an evacuation from Goofy’s Sky School into a hack for a free Lightning Lane Pass. Let us explain…

The Goofy’s Sky School roller coaster opened as Mulholland Madness alongside Disney California Adventure Park in February 2001. The attraction, renamed and rethemed in 2010 as part of Disney’s intellectual property (IP) integration across the park, has had its share of challenges, including three accidents that led to a brief closure months after its debut.

Last week, TikTok user @kaunsipooja posted a video documenting their experience after getting stuck mid-ride on Goofy’s Sky School. The footage shows Disney cast members climbing emergency stairs to evacuate guests trapped in the stationary roller coaster cars.

Luckily, it appears that no one was injured during the incident.

The Disney Park guest candidly shared her expectation that the unexpected shutdown would result in compensation, saying, “We don’t know yet but after getting stuck in this Disney ride we will be granted Lightning Lane passes for free.”

After the evacuation, the TikToker revealed that she approached Disney cast members to request compensation, telling a commenter, “You know I went and ask you owe us something.”

Disneyland Resort typically does not publicly comment on minor attraction hiccups like this, and this incident was no different. However, Goofy’s Sky School reopened shortly after and was operating normally in the days following the incident.

Have you ever requested compensation after a negative experience at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort? How to Disney would love to hear from you in the comments!
