Guests Infuriated After Waiting Hours For Ride, Only to See Massive Malfunction

Walt Disney World Resort is absolutely massive, consisting of four theme parks — the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are also two water parks — Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Tens of thousands of people visit the parks each day, meaning that the lines for rides and attractions can get extremely long.

At each of the four main theme parks, there are certain attractions that are more popular than others and have near-constant long lines. At the Magic Kingdom, a couple of those rides are TRON Lightcycle/Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s rides like Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Slinky Dog Dash. Animal Kingdom has Avatar: Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest.

At EPCOT, some of the most popular attractions can be found in the World Showcase. One of those attractions is Frozen Ever After, which took the place of the Maelstrom in the Norway Pavilion. The boat ride takes guests into the world of Arendelle, where they can meet Queen Anna, Princess Elsa, Olaf, and their friends.

Frozen Ever After typically has a wait time of more than an hour, sometimes even topping out at nearly three hours.

One guest recently visited EPCOT and was patient enough to wait two hours to go on the ride. Unfortunately, once they were finally able to get on the ride, they were incredibly disappointed by what they saw. There were some major computer glitches that screwed up the Anna, Elsa, and Olaf animatronics.

Sadly, this is not the first time that riders have dealt with major issues while riding the attraction. Many people commented that they had experienced issues after waiting for a long time.

Same. Waited over an hour for it to break down in the first room, had to ride the entire ride in the dark. Maelstrom FOREVER!

Others commented that they weren’t even able to enjoy the entire attraction because it broke down, and they were stuck for nearly an hour.

I waited 2 hours and then we got stuck right in the middle… waited another 40 min to get out and went back later to ride when it was fixed

While Frozen Ever After is currently only at EPCOT, it will soon be open at Hong Kong Disneyland. However, Disney Imagineers have made a huge change to the animatronics on that attraction. In fact, the new Anna and Elsa animatronics may be some of the most advanced that Disney has ever created. You can check out Disney’s first look at Elsa below.

Arendelle: World of Frozen will open at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is set to open on November 20, 2o23.
