Disney Park Speaker Falls on Guest Path: Outrage Ensues Among Fans

This isn’t even the first time something like this has happened…

The utilization of Disney park speakers serves a dual purpose. They create a delightful ambiance, transporting visitors to different lands and time periods within the park. Whether it’s the lively tunes of Main Street, U.S.A., the futuristic beats of Tomorrowland, or the adventurous melodies of Adventureland, each area is brought to life through the carefully selected music played on these speakers.

While these speakers are typically a wonderful addition to the parks, guests are now feeling less than thrilled after one of these devices reportedly fell over onto a guest pathway.

Unfortunate Incident Leads to Guest Disappointment

Disney park speakers play a crucial role in enhancing the storytelling aspect of the parks. As guests stroll through different themed lands, the music playing in the background helps set the mood and tells a story that complements the visual elements surrounding them.

These speakers are hidden in plain sight and can be found throughout every theme park at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

Unfortunately, it is being reported that one speaker and the pole it was fixed to has suddenly fallen. The speaker ended up crashing into a gate outside a guest pathway. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. When news of this incident began spreading online, fans instantly felt shocked and upset. If a guest had happened to be walking or standing there, this could have been a very different experience. One fan tweeted:

“𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲?!?!

And HOW does this occur within 𝟱 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗦 of the LAST TIME this happened?!?!?”

Another tweet says:

“These poles are rotted and rusted at the base and the saturation is exposing the lack of [maintenance] at the great expense and safety of guests! No excuse at all.”

A Recurring Problem

As the tweet suggests, this is not the first time that an incident like this one has happened on Disney Park soil. Earlier this year, a light pole fell at Disneyland Park, resulting in injuries of three people.

With these two incidents happening so close together, many fans are feeling insecure about the infrastructure of Disneyland’s pole structures. Hopefully, this incident can serve as an instigator for more safety checks and repairs resort-wide.

While this incident was incredibly unfortunate, it is relieving to know that no guests were injured.
