Disney’s Disheartening Scam Is Tricking Guests Out of Hard-Earned Money – Here’s How to Avoid It

It’s no secret that a visit to Walt Disney World Resort is more expensive than it’s ever been. Everything from food and drinks to Disney World tickets to souvenirs is reaching historically high costs, making for a Disney vacation that’s pricier than ever.

So, it’s no wonder that many guests visit Walt Disney World Resort with the goal of trying to save money wherever they can.

There are all sorts of Disney life hacks centered around saving money, from bringing your own snacks to taking advantage of Disney’s free ice water to buying supplies such as ponchos outside of the theme parks; in short, the list goes on.

Unfortunately, despite the warm and fuzzy feelings that come from visiting a Disney Park, the cold, hard truth is that Disney is after one thing: profit. It’s what every company is after!

The Walt Disney Company can’t afford to keep its extensive arsenal of theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, and shopping centers operating without the money. So, a Disney vacation is more costly than ever. But lately, Walt Disney World has employed a rather unfair trick in an attempt to get guests to spend even more money while visiting.

Whether you visit Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Disney Springs, the flashy souvenirs are sure to catch your eye.

Disney knows what fans want (for the most part), but the company also knows that it can mark souvenirs and merchandise up because it’s totally unique and can’t be found anywhere else…right? WRONG!

According to recent guest reports, the same exact products being sold at official Disney theme park stores can also be found at the Disney Character Warehouse, a store located less than 10 minutes from Walt Disney World.

The Disney Character Warehouse is a store located off Walt Disney World property, known for selling official Disney merchandise that hasn’t sold very well at incredibly marked-down prices. Fans can find official Disney souvenirs up to 70% and even 80% off at the Disney Character Warehouse, making it a Disney fan’s dream!

But, again, this particular Disney store typically sells merchandise from previous seasons, particularly products that didn’t sell well. Usually, if you see something at the Disney Character Warehouse, it’s because it isn’t being sold in Walt Disney World anymore.

Which is why it’s so disheartening to hear that Disney is simultaneously selling the same products at full price within the theme parks. But that’s not all…

A lot of the time, full-priced merchandise sold in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT can also be found on sale at shopDisney’s official website.

So, the next time you’re visiting a Disney theme park and browsing the fun souvenirs, be sure to browse the shopDisney website first. You just might find exactly what you’re looking for marked down!
