Father Slammed for Parenting Children at Disneyland, “This Is Wrong…”

A recent family visit to Disneyland Resort sparked an unexpected debate over parenting styles and societal expectations. During a trip to the renowned Southern California theme park, a mother and father brought their two-month-old child along for the adventure. To make their visit easier, the father decided to wear the young child using a baby carrier while they explored Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney.
This father’s choice, however, led to surprising reactions from other Disney Parks guests. Many onlookers expressed their disapproval, labeling his behavior as “unusual” and “wrong” for a father at a theme park.

The family was reportedly “berated” for this parenting decision, raising eyebrows and questions about societal norms surrounding fatherhood and child care. The baby’s mother, Mel (@mel.on.medicine on TikTok), shared their experience on TikTok.

One “military-looking” man reportedly approached the Disney dad and said it was “so wrong” for him to baby-wear.
“You shouldn’t be doing something so feminine,” the Disney Park guest reportedly said. “You shouldn’t be doing this. This is just so wrong. Where is your wife?”
“I don’t think it’s wrong,” Mel’s husband replied. If your masculinity is so fragile that it’s threatened by taking care of a baby, maybe you need to look at yourself.

The man walked away, mumbling that the country is “going to sh*t.”
Mel said multiple older women also confronted her husband about baby-wearing and asked where the infant’s mother was.
“There were at least four separate instances,” she said. “I didn’t think it was a controversial thing to have fathers present in their children’s lives.”
Social Media Response

The TikTok video quickly gained traction as viewers weighed in with their own opinions. Commenters overwhelmingly reflected confusion and frustration over the backlash aimed at the father.
“The audacity of those people,” one Disney Parks fan wrote.
“I have never seen a negative reaction to that,” said another. “That’s super weird. I’m sorry y’all had to deal with that.”
