Disneyland Reveals Second California Location – Here’s How To Visit

For decades, Disneyland Resort has been a must-visit destination for theme park lovers around the world. But what if there was another “Disneyland” location in California that few fans even knew existed?

While there isn’t a second full-sized Disneyland Park, a hidden Disney destination in San Francisco offers a deep dive into Walt Disney’s personal story and the history of the company he built—and it only costs $25 per ticket.

A Hidden Disneyland Experience in San Francisco, California

Most Disney Parks fans know that Disneyland Resort is made up of two theme parks—Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure—along with Downtown Disney and multiple resort hotels. But beyond the rides and attractions, there’s another special place dedicated to Disney history.

Nestled in San Francisco’s scenic Presidio district, The Walt Disney Family Museum is a one-of-a-kind tribute to Walt Disney’s legacy, founded by Walt and Lillian Disney’s daughter, Diane Disney Miller, in 2009.

The museum offers a fascinating look into Walt Disney’s life, featuring rare sketches, early animation, music, drawings, animatronics, and even an incredibly detailed model of Disneyland Park. It’s a hidden gem for Disney history buffs and a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the magic of Disney outside the theme parks.

A Look Inside Walt Disney’s Legacy

Reddit user u/Rated-E-For-Erik recently shared a photo of the museum’s stunning Disneyland Park model, sparking excitement among fellow Disney fans.

“I love that museum!” u/millvalleygirl replied. “It’s also got a bench from the park where Walt once sat watching his daughters on the carousel, wishing that there were a place where kids and parents could have fun together.”

Beyond the Disneyland Park model, the museum dives into Walt Disney’s early career, the challenges he faced in building his company, and the innovations that forever changed the animation and entertainment industries.
