In late 2021, Walt Disney Animation celebrated the debut of its 60th feature-length animated film, Encanto.

Encanto tells the story of the amazing Madrigal family who live deep in the mountains of Colombia. Each member of the family has a special gift–all except for Mirabel . . . or so they think.

Vibrant animation, an engaging story of family and hope, and catchy songs with lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Encanto instantly became one of Walt Disney Animation’s most beloved animated films. Now, Disney World is preparing to offer guests a new attraction inspired by the film.

A New, Undisclosed Experience Coming to Disney World

Disney World is preparing to bring a new offering inspired by the Madrigal family. The new show will be produced by Disney Live Entertainment, and as of the time of this publication, the show has not been formally announced or named, but a notice has been shared as Disney Live Entertainment begins the search for performers for the new experience.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
