Disney World Guests Without Drinking Water, Deprived for Hours After Consequential Error
Earlier this week, residents and guests in the area near Walt Disney World Resort experienced a significant water outage. Although water was restored after less than a day, many locals reported that their tap water was undrinkable, with some describing it as “poo brown.” The situation prompted local officials to issue a boil water advisory for the affected areas.

The outage was first shared by Summer (@fiveminutesfromdisney on TikTok), a Central Florida resident who lives just five minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort, as her username suggests. She posted a video on Tuesday informing her followers that there was no running water at her home.
@fiveminutesfromdisney Is anyone staying at Disney world and have running water? I may need to check in for a staycation tomorrow 😆💦🌊 #orlando #disney #lakebuenavista #disneyworld #disneyap #disneyadult #florida #hurricane #weather #disneyprincess #disneyparks #magickingdom #epcot #hollywoodstudios #animalkingdom
“Literally nothing” was coming out of her faucets, and shortly after, she received a message from her neighbor confirming the same problem. Summer also checked her Ring app, which revealed that water was out in areas surrounding Lake Buena Vista, the municipality where Walt Disney World Resort is situated.
As the news spread, others commented on her post, confirming similar issues with their water supply at nearby homes and non-Disney hotels.

By the next morning, crews had managed to restore water to the area, but there was still a problem: the water coming out of the taps was brown. Summer shared a mid-morning update, reporting that the water had lightened but was still dirty.
@fiveminutesfromdisney Living 5 minutes from Disney! We have running water again but it’s poo brown 💩😭💦 We are on a boil water notice, wahoo! #orlando #florida #disney #disneyworld #wdw #disneytips #disneyparks #magickingdom #epcot #hollywoodstudios #disneyadult #disneyfood #disneyfoodie #disneysnack #disneysnacks
Many others in the area reported the same issue, as the brown water lingered for hours.
“The water from my hotel at the Marriott near Disney Orlando is brown!!” said one commenter, @sophia8182.

To ensure public safety, officials issued a boil water advisory for everyone in the affected communities. The advisory recommended that people boil tap water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking, or washing dishes. However, activities like laundry and showering were still safe, as long as people avoided getting water in their eyes or mouths.
According to Summer, a large water main break caused the disruption near Walt Disney World Resort. Disney’s water system operates independently of the surrounding area, meaning the Disney parks and Disney Resort hotels were unaffected by the outage.

Why lie in the title of the article? I don’t understand how that is good journalism. What do you achieve out of this type of title? Why can’t you use a positive title. “Disney’s water system operates independently of the surrounding area, meaning the Disney parks and Disney Resort hotels were unaffected by the outage.” Why don’t you use that as your title instead of misleading your readers? There is so much hate and negativity in the world. Why can’t you look on the positive side? What will it hurt to say something nice for a change and stop trying to trick your readers into reading an article?

Why on earth would you use that headline?! Seriously, what terrible reporting! You should really be ashamed. You have lost a subscriber on this one.
