Disney World Guest Hospitalized After Suffering Scary Emergency

People from all over the world come to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Sadly, experiences that ruin guests’ vacations and trips can happen from time to time, even in a place that is considered to be “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”

Disney World sees thousands of guests daily. With this amount of traffic guests’ tensions can run high or accidents can occur while at the parks. Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney park offers different attractions, dining, and shopping options for guests.

Medical emergencies can happen at any time, even in the most magical of places like Disney World. The staff at Disney World is well-prepared to handle medical situations efficiently and professionally to ensure the safety and well-being of their guests.

Each Disney World park near the front has first aid locations. First aid stations are strategically located throughout the parks and resort properties. These stations are equipped with basic medical supplies and staffed with medical professionals who can provide initial care and assess the situation. They can treat minor injuries, provide medications for common ailments, and even offer assistance for guests with special medical needs.

In cases of more serious medical emergencies, Disney World has established protocols to ensure swift response and coordination with local emergency services. Guests have even been taken backstage during emergencies.

Disney World is known for being accommodating to guests with disabilities and medical conditions. If a guest has a pre-existing medical condition, they can take advantage of services like Disability Access Service (DAS) to minimize waiting times for attractions and make their visit as comfortable as possible. Guests applying for the DAS can apply online or head to guests services to apply.

When a Disney World guest falls ill or experiences a medical emergency during their trip, it can be highly distressing. However, it’s important to know that if guests suffer an illness or need assistance while at Disney World, you should find your nearest Cast Member. Cast Members are trained to help guests and can call for help faster.

In a social media post, a guest shared that they were passing a woman in a wheelchair who was dripping blood. When they asked the guest if she was okay, the older woman said she had a nosebleed and was fine. While this guest was worried, they called paramedics over and when they arrived to the scene, the woman was vomiting blood. Disney Cast Members jumped into action and this woman was taken to the hospital, according to the report:

Near the fountain at the front of Epcot earlier this year. An older woman in a wheelchair was sitting with her head down dripping blood into the ground. She said it was a bad nose bleed and she was fine. I called paramedics just to be safe and by the time they were in their way she was vomiting up pure blood. They had to take her to a hospital and I never heard what became of her but I had never seen that much blood come out of a person. It took custodial a half hour to throughly clean the area.

Disney World strives to maintain the safety of its guests. Individuals should also take precautions to minimize the risk of injury. This includes following safety guidelines, being aware of surroundings, and wearing appropriate footwear to prevent trips and falls.

In the rare event of an injury or bleeding incident at Disney World, the resort’s dedicated medical personnel and overall commitment to guest safety play a crucial role in ensuring that guests receive the necessary care and support during their visit.
