10. NIghttime Shows

The nighttime shows at Walt Disney World continue to bring magic and wonder every night. The three main shows at the Disney Parks are Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Enchantment at Magic Kingdom, and Harmonious at EPCOT.

Each show combines storytelling, music, characters, fireworks, and projections to create a beloved story that lights up the night sky. We are thankful for these magical nighttime shows that have become a staple in our Disney vacations. There is something special about wrapping up an evening in a Disney Park with one of these fantastic shows.

9. Fun, New Rides

We are grateful that Disney continues to bring new amazing rides to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. This year we saw the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT.

This year this incredible indoor coaster opened to Guests, and it has been well worth the wait. We love the new technology used on the ride. From the outstanding new ride vehicles that can rotate, keeping Guests constantly in the action, to the reverse launch, this coaster brought it all.

We also are thankful for the music on this ride. It is so fun to get different songs, and we look forward to experiencing the holiday track as well.

8. Disney Resorts

We love that Walt Disney World provides a variety of Resorts for Guests to choose from. These Resorts not only provide options for all budgets but also for all vacation goals. It is nice to have a variety to choose from when planning a Disney trip, and we love how wonderful they are.

The Disney Resorts are part of the Disney magic, in our opinion. We love the outstanding themes that make each Disney Resort unique and special. The pools, dining, shops, and entertainment that we can find at all the Disney Resorts are something we are thankful for when visiting Disney. These Resorts help make our trips magical.

7. Disney Transportation

Disney transportation isn’t perfect, but we are thankful it is provided. We appreciate not having to rent a car and drive during our Disney vacation. Having Disney buses, the monorail and skyliner, boats, and even the Minnie Vans all make getting around Disney easier.

There is something magical about getting to and from the Disney Parks without having to drive ourselves. For this service that Disney provides, we are so grateful.

6. Seeing Characters

Characters are a big part of the Disney magic, and we didn’t realize that until they weren’t there during the reopening months. We are so grateful that Disney provides so many unique ways for Guests of all ages to meet and see their favorite characters throughout their trips.

Being able to meet so many 1:1 again has been excellent. We also like seeing so many throughout the Parks during cavalcades and other quick appearances. These have become so important to our trips, and we love seeing our favorite characters when we visit.

5. Shows

It wouldn’t be a Disney vacation without the fantastic shows. It is great that Disney continues to work hard at creating beautiful shows for Guests to enjoy within the Theme Parks. From Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo the Big Blue and Beyond to the performers through EPCOT, there are many outstanding shows to watch.

These shows create magic for Disney Guests by bringing such outstanding shows to the Parks.

4. Rides

It wouldn’t be Walt Disney World without the rides. Rides, big and small, are something we are thankful for at Walt Disney World. We are grateful for the new, exciting rides such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but we also love the classic rides such as The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Disney always does a fantastic job of creating such unique rides; we are so grateful for that.

3. Being Kid

A big part of Disney magic is being able to be a kid, even as an adult. We are thankful that Disney has created a place where adults can visit and be kids again. Disney is where we can dream big, believe in happily ever afters, and have all the emotions of a kid without it being wrong. For this, we are so thankful.

We will be forever thankful for the fantastic Cast Members working so hard at Walt Disney World. Cast Members make the magic possible for all of us during our Disney vacation. We are so grateful for all they do daily to help us all have a fantastic time.

1. Magic

Finally, we are thankful that Walt Disney World keeps the magic alive. With so much changing in the world, we love that the magic continues to be present throughout Walt Disney World, both in the Parks and Resorts.

From the fantastic nighttime performances filled with magic to the outstanding Cast Members, we are so thankful again for Disney’s magic this year.

As we head into Thanksgiving, these are ten things we are thankful for at Walt Disney World.

Jennifer Retzlaff

Jennifer became a lifelong Disney fan during her first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of her life. She quickly started to introduce her love of Disney to her family with a Disney honeymoon and then family trips when her youngest was 18 months old. She loves the magic that Disney brings to people through theme parks, cruises, and adventures. As a teacher, she tries to bring Disney magic into her classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” She is also part of the Magic Vacation Planner team as a personal travel advisor. With this team, she can now help others plan magical vacations. She loves bringing her love to Disney to readers with How to Disney.
