Whether you spend an hour or a full day at the parks, a trip to Walt Disney World hardly ever disappoints. From classic dark rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan’s Flight to delicious treats like Mickey Bars and DOLE Whips, there’s a treasure trove of fun waiting for guests at Disney World.
However, the magic has to end at some point, even at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Travelers should know that next month, Magic Kingdom is expected to close significantly early for a special in-park event.
On October 21, the park will host the Gartner IT Symposium/Expo, meaning guests can expect Magic Kingdom to shut down several hours earlier than usual. The park has reportedly been reserved for the private event, which will last from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. As such, the Magic Kingdom will likely close a few hours early to get it ready for the event.
The Gartner IT Symposium/Expo was held at EPCOT last October and has called Walt Disney World home for multiple years.
Fans can expect to see a lot of change at the Magic Kingdom. In just a few days, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will officially begin, allowing guests to explore the park in a spooky and fun new way. During select nights through October 31, Magic Kingdom hosts this party, offering candy and all kinds of other special treats.
One of the best parts of the party is that attendees can stay at the Magic Kingdom well after it typically closes, cutting down on wait times considerably.
Of course, there’s also a lot happening regarding Magic Kingdom’s actual rides, attractions, and land. Work is now underway on the park’s newest expansion, Piston Peak, an outdoors-inspired hub based on Pixar’s Cars franchise. Later this month, the park will also welcome a new bar, The Beak and Barrel.
