Universal’s Newest Rule Forbids Guests From Talking About Epic Universe

Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe is set to open on May 22, 2025, bringing an entirely new level of themed entertainment to Central Florida. Featuring five immersive lands—Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe—this highly anticipated theme park is expected to be a major game-changer for Universal.

But before it officially opens, Team Members have been getting a first look, and now, those exclusive previews have been extended again!

Universal Extends Team Member Previews Again

Universal initially scheduled Team Member Previews from March 17–25 and March 29–31, later extending them through April 5. Now, Universal has pushed the deadline even further—allowing employees and their families to visit the park through April 16.

These previews give Universal employees a chance to experience the new park before the general public, helping them become familiar with attractions, dining, and operations. The extension means more Team Members can take advantage of this opportunity before the official grand opening.

No Photos, No Videos… And Now No Reviews?

From the start, Universal has enforced a strict no-photo and no-video policy for these previews. However, a new rule has reportedly been added—guests are now being told they cannot post reviews or share their opinions about the park either.

A guest recently shared on social media:

“Now they’ve banned people from posting reviews and thoughts after visiting. Previously, the only limitation was photos and videos. Now, you’re not even allowed to give a review.”

This move is likely meant to prevent spoilers and control the narrative about Epic Universe before its official debut. Since the park is still in technical rehearsals, some attractions may not be fully operational, and Universal may want to avoid premature criticism of unfinished elements.

Influencer Controversy at Epic Universe

Despite these strict guidelines, some information about Epic Universe has already leaked. Reports suggest that some Team Members have invited influencers, vloggers, and reviewers as their “family members” during previews. These guests have then shared details about the park, breaking Universal’s intended secrecy.

With the latest restriction on reviews, Universal is cracking down even harder on early reveals, trying to ensure the public experiences the park the way it was meant to be seen once it officially opens.

Will Annual Passholders Get a Preview?

Another big question remains—what about Universal’s Annual Passholders?

When Universal announced tickets for Epic Universe, they also confirmed that Passholders would get a chance to preview the park before its grand opening. However, with Team Member previews continuing to be extended, some Passholders are wondering if Universal will actually deliver on that promise.

As of now, Universal has not announced official dates for Passholder previews, but fans are eagerly waiting for an update.

Final Thoughts

Universal’s Epic Universe is one of the most highly anticipated theme park openings in years, and these extended previews indicate that the company is still fine-tuning the experience. While the no-photos, no-videos, and no-reviews rule may be frustrating for some, it makes sense that Universal wants to keep things under wraps until the park is fully ready.

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates, especially regarding Passholder previews and dining options within the park. Stay tuned for more Epic Universe news!
