1. Disney’s Contemporary-Magic Kingdom
Unless you’re one of the elite and lucky contest winners who earn a select stay in Cinderella’s Castle Suite, Disney’s Contemporary is the absolute closest lodging place you’ll find to the Magic Kingdom. It’s so close that you can even take a walking path straight to the park’s gate entrance—a feat that cannot be done at any other hotel in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. But if you don’t want to walk, another mode of transportation awaits. Consider hopping aboard the trusty monorail, which runs directly through the hotel’s interior on a loop through other resorts and onward to the Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary may have a modern sounding name but it’s really one of Disney’s original classic resorts, complete with fantastic views of the park’s nightly fireworks and featuring dozens of onsite amenities.
