New Lightsaber Experience at Savi’s Workshop

If you’re planning to visit the Galaxy’s Edge section of the park on May 4th, be sure to check out the new Reclaimed and Reforged lightsaber experience at Savi’s Workshop. This highly anticipated addition takes guests on a journey into the ancient conflicts and forgotten legends of the galaxy, allowing you to build a unique lightsaber using materials tied to the rich lore of the Star Wars universe. The experience will be available while supplies last, so it’s best to arrive early and be ready to join in on the fun!

While Star Wars Day has traditionally included special themed snacks, merchandise releases, and entertainment offerings, Disney has yet to reveal all the surprises planned for this year. Fans can expect exclusive Star Wars treats, themed snacks, and possibly some limited-edition merchandise only available for this special occasion. It’s always exciting to see what new goodies will make their debut during this celebration, so keep an eye out for special offerings as the big day approaches.

Some of the favorite themed treats of past years include Blue Milk, Wookiee Cookies, and Tatooine Two-Tone Cake—so we wouldn’t be surprised if Disney rolls out something equally delicious to keep your taste buds in hyperspace.

Navigating the Crowds

While Star Wars Day is known for its incredible atmosphere, it also tends to draw huge crowds—especially this year since the park is at capacity for Annual Passholders. If you missed securing a reservation, don’t worry; you can still enjoy the festivities by visiting another park and park hopping over to Hollywood Studios after 2 p.m. Alternatively, those with regular park tickets or Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays can still access the park, so be sure to check availability.

Be aware that with the park’s reservation system in place, lines for attractions like Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will likely be longer than usual, so plan accordingly and be prepared for some extra waiting. But with the jaw-dropping level of theming and immersive experiences, it’s totally worth it.

May the Force Be with Your Taste Buds

No Star Wars Day is complete without some iconic food and drinks, and Hollywood Studios doesn’t disappoint when it comes to Star Wars-themed treats. Here are some must-try offerings if you’re planning on visiting Galaxy’s Edge during the event:

  1. Blue Milk – This iconic drink is a must-try for any Star Wars fan, available in both plant-based and dairy options.
  2. Wookiee Cookie – A delicious, chewy treat shaped like Chewbacca, filled with chocolate and coconut.
  3. Endor-Style Chicken – This roasted chicken dish, inspired by the forests of Endor, is served with a side of roasted vegetables for a savory, filling option.

Also, be sure to check out any limited-time menu items released for the event, as Disney often creates specialty treats just for Star Wars Day. From sweet to savory, the food scene in Galaxy’s Edge is every bit as immersive as the rides and shows.
