The Disney Attractions That Always Have The Same Minimal Wait Time

What is your favorite part of spending time in the Disney parks? Many guests will say riding the attractions is the best part of a Disney vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many attractions to experience in Lake Buena Vista. From thrill rides to family attractions, shows, and simulated ride experiences, there’s something different to experience in every attraction.

My Disney Experience

The My Disney Experience App is beneficial when navigating the Disney theme parks. While you may not need it to find your way around each Disney park, you will regularly check it to see up-to-date wait times. My Disney Experience also allows you to:

  • Find out where you can see Disney characters
  • Check show times throughout the day
  • Place a Mobile Order at a quick-service restaurant
  • Make an advanced dining reservation for a full-service restaurant
  • Purchase something in a Disney merchandise location using Mobile Checkout
  • Make Individual Lightning Lane Reservations
  • Purchase Disney Genie+ to aid your Disney experience

Constant Wait Times

You will have noticed long line times on My Disney Experience. But while checking wait times, have you ever noticed constant wait times for some attractions? We saw this during our recent vacation. So, why do some attractions’ line times never change? It’s down to the length of the experience an attraction offers.

In particular, you may have noticed that some attraction wait times remain constant throughout the day. Generally, the wait time portrays the length of the film or show. Assuming you will arrive just as the attraction experience starts, you’ll wait the entire length of the experience before you can enter the theater or viewing area.

So, what attractions have constant wait times? Let’s take a look, sorted by Disney park.

Magic Kingdom Park

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is located in Fantasyland. Join Donald Duck on a 3D adventure filled with music and fantasy. It’s a 12-minute spectacular, allowing you to sit in the Opritheater. Generally, the Disney attraction shows a posted wait time of 15 minutes on My Disney Experience.

You’ll find The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square. Take a seat in a stately theater and learn about the nation’s history, told by Audio-Animatronic replicas of every President of the United States. While the attraction wait time doesn’t show on My Disney Experience, each show is 22 minutes long.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland is a 20-minute-long experience. The classic attraction guides you through the 20th century, demonstrating the progression of technology as you follow four generations of a family. The attraction is split into four parts, each 5 minutes long. At the end of each part, the attraction rotates like a carousel. Therefore, you can expect a 5-minute wait, as shown on the My Disney Experience App, where you board the attraction after it has rotated.

In Adventureland, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is a musical extravaganza. Enjoy 15 minutes of singing from the exotic birds, flowers, and Tiki statues in the Enchanted Tiki Room. While the attraction’s wait time doesn’t show on My Disney Experience, you can see it as you pass through the attraction entrance.

Toe tap, clap along, and enjoy their humor throughout the experience. The Country Bear Jamboree is another attraction that displays the wait time at the attraction entrance rather than on My Disney Experience.

Tom Sawyer Island is a Magic Kingdom attraction that operates during select hours of the day. Take a raft across the Rivers of America to a secret rustic hideaway. Please be aware that the Disney attraction isn’t available at rope drop; it opens at 11 a.m. daily. Generally, the attraction has a posted wait time of 5 minutes. Rafts run regularly throughout the day. Your wait is only delayed when the Liberty Square Riverboat leaves the landing.

You can board the train at three stations around the Disney park – Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Main Street, U.S.A. Generally, you can expect a wait time of 10 minutes or less. An entire loop of Magic Kingdom on the Walt Disney World Railroad is 20 minutes.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Next time you’re waiting for these attractions, keep track of your wait time before entering. Will you have the wait time displayed or a shorter one? You probably won’t need an individual Lightning Lane selection to experience them. It’s also worth noting that they may not be available during early entry for Disney resort hotel guests.
