Secret Disney Tips You Don’t Know
If you plan a trip to Walt Disney World, you have probably started digging into all the tips and tricks. Trying to figure out what Disney Resort will be the best for your family, what rides you don’t want to miss out on, and what dining experiences you’ll need to book at 60 days is all part of the Disney World trip planning process.
As you look into these Disney tips, you will probably seem to repeat them repeatedly. We want to provide you with some tips you might need to learn. These will help you plan a great trip to Walt Disney World.
Bring Your Snacks and Drinks
Something that surprises a lot of Guests traveling to Walt Disney World for the first time is the rules, or lack thereof, around outside snacks and drinks. Guests can bring snacks and beverages to Disney Parks. This might seem strange to those visiting local zoos, amusement parks, or ballparks where outside food and drinks are prohibited.
Disney allows Guests to bring snacks and drinks that aren’t glass, are nonalcoholic, and don’t need to be warmed up. This will enable you to save some money while in the Parks. Order bottled water and snacks from Walmart or Instacart to your Disney Resort. You can then pack these up in the morning to have in the Parks throughout the day.
If you have little ones, having individual baggies of their favorite snacks is always a great idea. It never fails that they are starving once you enter a ride queue.
Give Cast Compliments
Disney Cast Members are the ones that make the magic happen for Guests throughout Walt Disney World. You can thank these fantastic Cast Members by completing Cast Compliments for those that have created magic for you.
You can do this in multiple ways. Disney has now added a feature within the My Disney Experience app that allows Guests to complete a Cast Compliment right in the app. Guests can also go to Guests Relations or use Twitter by Tweeting @WDWToday with the #CastCompliment. The more information you can provide, the more Disney can congratulate those fabulous Cast Members for you.
From those at the Disney Resorts welcoming us as we arrive or ensuring we are safe on the rides, Disney’s Cast Members are an essential part of the magic at Walt Disney World.
Use Mobile Order
This tip will save time in line and avoid frustration during meal time. Use mobile ordering throughout your trip to Walt Disney World. Guests can find mobile orders via the My Disney Experience app.
Once in the app, Guests can choose a specific quick service location, determine what time they want to eat, and place their order. This ensures that you have a particular time of arrival for getting food. By placing a mobile order, you can skip the lines that form during meal time at quick service locations. We are surprised this hasn’t become more common, but Guests still aren’t aware of mobile ordering at Walt Disney World.
There are two Monorails
After enjoying Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom, know that two monorail lines can get you back to your car at the Ticket and Transit Center (TTC).
The Express Monorail is a direct route from Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center. The Resort Monorail stops at Disney’s Contemporary, the TTC, Disney’s Polynesian, and Disney’s Grand Floridian back to Magic Kingdom.
At the end of the evening, most Guests riding the monorail are heading back to the TTC, not to their Disney Resort. This means that the lines for this line can get extremely long. If you want to move faster, consider hopping on the Disney Resort Line. Even with an additional stop at Disney’s Contemporary, this line can get you to the TTC often quicker because there is less of a line.
Knowing that two monorail lines take you to your destination to get your car can save you a lot of time waiting at the end of a magical day at Magic Kingdom.
Follow Stroller Parking Rules
Since the Walt Disney World Resort is a top vacation destination for families, you will find many strollers in Disney World Parks. If you are bringing a stroller, make sure you follow the stroller parking signs. If you leave your stroller in a random spot, Cast Members will move it to the nearest parking area.
Stroller areas are marked, so use them to avoid panic and confusion when strollers are moved. This is extremely important in Magic Kingdom. Fantasyland has many strollers; paying attention to where you Park is crucial.
Use something to mark your stroller and make it stand out. Using a sign, string, or even a balloon can help make your stroller stand out in the sea of rented strollers. Also, don’t forget to cover your stroller when you leave it. Rain showers come quickly at Walt Disney World; you don’t want to be surprised by a wet stroller when you visit your attraction.
Left Wins Out
This might seem strange, but it remains true at Walt Disney World. When you have the choice between two lines, head to the left. For some reason, the lines on the left tend to be shorter overall. This works when placing dining orders, tapping into Disney Park, or preparing to tour a Park like Magic Kingdom.
Overall, if you have a choice between left and right, head towards the right; sometimes, the smallest Disney World tip can help your Disney vacation succeed.
Those secret Disney tips you might not have known will make a difference during your vacation to Walt Disney World.
