Get a Free Button

A visit to Walt Disney World is a cause for celebration and you can let everyone know what you are celebrating with the free buttons Disney provides Guests.  You can get these buttons at your Walt Disney World Resort or at any of the Disney Parks or Disney Springs.

They often have specific ones for birthdays, and anniversaries/weddings, but they also have a general celebration button that allows you to celebrate whatever you want. Once you have your button, make sure you wear it in the Disney Park and at your Disney Resort. Not only will Cast Members to comment on your celebration but so will Guests adding to your magical celebration.

Another bonus of wearing the button is that sometimes- not always- you can receive some extra pixie dust. This isn’t something that you should expect, but it is fun when it happens. Maybe you get a free snack or a free cupcake at lunch. You never know what magic is waiting for you on your Disney vacation.

Strollers

Use the Stroller Parking

You might not know this, but Walt Disney World has specific stroller parking throughout the four Walt Disney World Parks.  There are specific areas where strollers are to be parked when left.  If you don’t put your stroller there, a Cast Member will move it for you which can cause confusion.

These areas are marked, so make sure you use them. This is especially important in Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland. There are so many strollers in this area each day that it is important to know where you parked them.

Another quick Disney World tip is to use something to mark your stroller and make it stand out. Use a ribbon or a sign to help you know which black stroller in Magic Kingdom or in Disney Park is yours. Following this Disney World tip with really help your Disney vacation have less stress.

Food-and-Snacks

Pack Your Own Water and Snack

If you visit a lot of concert venues, sporting arenas, or other amusement parks you know that you typically can’t bring any food or beverages with you.  That isn’t the case at Walt Disney World.

Even though Disney offers numerous snacks, you are still allowed to bring your own with you if you want.  It is nice to have quick snacks with you when hunger strikes in the middle of waiting in line.

Having some individual baggies with favorite snacks is always a great idea if you have little ones. It never fails that they are starving once you enter a ride queue.

You can bring your own water as well. This is a great way to save money as bottled water is extremely expensive in the theme Park. If you don’t want to bring bottled water, you can also bring in a refillable bottle. Disney has water filling stations throughout the four theme parks.

Bringing your snacks not only saves you some money but will also help prevent any major food meltdowns from occurring and help save your Disney World vacation.

Express vs Resort Monorail

You aren’t aware two different monorail lines go to and from Magic Kingdom. The Express Monorail goes straight from Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center. The Resort Monorail stops at Disney’s Contemporary, the TTC, Disney’s Polynesian, and Disney’s Grand Floridian back to Magic Kingdom.

At the end of the evening, most Guests riding the monorail are heading back to the TTC, not to their Disney Resort. This means that the lines for this line can get extremely long. If you want to get moving faster, consider hopping on the Disney Resort Line. Even with an additional stop at Disney’s Contemporary, this line can get you to the TTC often faster because there is less of a line.

Compliment a Cast Member

Disney Cast Members work extremely hard to make sure Guests have the most magical experience. This isn’t always easy in the Disney Park’s heat, rain, and long hours they have to deal with. Guests can express their thanks by completing cast compliments.

You can do this at Guest service or online. You can also use Twitter. Tweet @WDWToday with the #CastCompliment, and Disney will see it and pass it along to the Cast Members. Disney has also added this option to the My Disney Experience app.  There is a section for giving Cast Members compliments although it doesn’t allow for a lot of detail.

Giving Cast Members compliments doesn’t take a lot of time and is an excellent way to share the magic back to those Cast Members who work to help us have a fantastic time and add to your Disney experience.

Go Left

This might seem strange and I honestly don’t understand how it still works all these years later, but if you have a choice go left.  This means when heading to security or as you look to scan into a Disney Park.  The lines on the left always seem to be the shortest for some reason.

This also works when heading into a quick service location and looking for a bathroom stall.  Left seems to always work out!

These might not seem like huge secrets, but they are ones that will help when planning your Walt Disney World trip.
