My Disney Experience Can Find Bathrooms

My Disney Experience (MDE) is Disney’s official app that Guests can use to navigate the Disney Parks.  Most know about the basic functions of MDE such as wait times and using Disney Genie; however, there is more to it.

My Disney Experience (MDE) can actually help you find the nearest bathroom.  This is a huge help when you are in the middle of a Disney Park or Disney Resort and don’t know where anything is located.

If you click on the location icon within the app, you can then choose bathrooms from the drop down menu giving you a clear look at all your options.

This can save you time and frustration in the Disney Park not having to walk around in circles trying to find the nearest bathroom.

MDE can also allow you to find important areas such as Baby Care Centers, First Aid, Guests Experience Teams and so much more.

Make Sure to Pack Motion Sickness Medicine

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Walt Disney World is all kiddie rides.  There are some intense rides in each of the four Theme Parks and you might need that motion sickness medicine to help you face them.

For rides such as Mission: Space or even the Tea Cups, you might want to have some motion sickness medicine ready to go.  Being prepared can really help you recover quickly when hit with some motion sickness.

It isn’t just motion sickness medicine though that we would recommend being prepared with.  If you have issues with heat or with eating different foods, make sure you bring medicine to help with those issues as well.

Don’t worry if you forget these basic over the counter medicines as you can find them in the Disney Resorts as well as in the Disney Parks.

No one wants to feel icky while on vacation, so make sure you are prepared with medicine to help everyone recover quickly.

See the Parade From the Start

Another big Disney World tip that not many mention is to see the parade form where it starts.  For example, when the Festival of Fantasy Parade returns to Magic Kingdom this year, it will start over in Frontierland.

By watching the parade from the beginning, it allows you to experience it, but also hit up some rides while those watching from the end of the parade are still waiting.

This also will lessen your time waiting for the parade.  If you find a place closer to Main Street USA or the Hub, you might be waiting until closer to 3:15 for the parade to arrive.

Snag that spot closer to the beginning so you can enjoy the magic, but also get the most out of your time in the Park.

Don’t know where the parades start?  Ask a Cast Member as they will be able to tell you.

Get Prescriptions Delivered

If you happen to get sick in Walt Disney World, know that getting your prescriptions is easier than you might think.

Services can actually deliver to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel as well as right to a Disney Park.

This is a service that many don’t know about, but can be extremely helpful in a pinch.  If you do find yourself needing medicine during your vacation and can still be in the Parks, you can keep enjoying the magic while your medicine is dropped off at a Disney World Park.

Keep Refreshing

A little Disney World tip that many might not know is that refreshing is key when it comes to My Disney Experience.  When looking for Genie+ reservations, mobile order times and dining reservations, keep refreshing.

A lot of times you might not see availability for your choice right away, but don’t give up, keep refreshing.  This means pulling down from the top of the phone so the page reloads.  A lot of times this will pull up new options to choose from.

When it comes to finding dining reservations, mobile order times and Genie+ options, keep on refreshing as new options will often show up giving you a choice you might not have had originally.

Go to the Left

This might seem silly, but it is a tip that does help while visiting a Theme Park- Go Left.  When looking at lines or trying to determine which way to go, consider heading the left.  A lot of times crowds tend to go right so this will help you go against the crowd.

This helps a lot in Magic Kingdom when most Guests head to Tomorrowland or to Fantasyland. Instead go left and enjoy a quieter Adventureland and Frontierland.

We find this tip helpful when getting snacks, food, merchandise or getting in line when the Parks open.  Left is typically shorter.

Chafing Happens

Something no one talks much about is that chafing happens in Walt Disney World.  The heat, humidity and tons of walking is the perfect combination for chafing to show up.

Prepared for this by having anti-chafing sticks with you to apply and reapply throughout the day.  It might seem strange, but you will be so thankful you have it with you.

These are some secret Disney tips that aren’t always mentioned.  We hope that they help you prepare for your vacation to Walt Disney World.
