Entitled Karen Teaches Her Kids How to Enrage Entire Line at Disney World Ride

Walt Disney World in Florida is a place where anything can happen. Because the theme park sees so many people from different walks of life, you will sometimes encounter the worst of humanity. Among these horrible creatures are what we like to call “Disney Karens.” These parkgoers pray on any sort of situation or opportunity to show just how vile they can be, and apparently one managed to enrage an entire line at Disney World recently while teaching her children horrible life lessons!

Rise of the Resistance Line Cutting Karen

An extremely upset guest took to the r/WaltDisneyWorld subreddit to completely let loose their frustrations over an encounter with a wild Disney Karen at the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride in Hollywood Studios. As one of the more popular attractions, Rise of the Resistance can see some stunningly long queue times. However, most people recognize that they must wait their turn with everyone else as part of the experience.

One woman allegedly thought herself and her time were more valuable than an entire line of hundreds of people. Close to closing time and annoyed by the lesser beings around her, she reportedly pushed through the crowd while dragging her four children through the standby queue of Rise of the Resistance. One of the children seemed to recognize the deplorableness of the situation, but the poster claims the kid was quickly silenced by their mother with a quick expletive.

You are a low class human being and you are teaching your children horrible lessons. I’m so glad you got some attitude from the guy in front of you who you physically ran into. Also, we all heard you tell your youngest (probably 9-10) to shut the f**k up.

Yes, this happened. Literally flew by people all the way to the front and ran right into that first room for Rise of the Resistance at closing time. I was in the room with them. I was shocked. I’ve witnessed and experienced my share of rude, gross, and annoying at WDW, but this by far the dirtiest trick/maneuver and the most egregious.

To the woman who rushed herself and her four kids all the way to the front of the 70 minute stand by line for ROTR at the end of the night on Sunday night:

Responses contained hundreds of other accounts of similar behavior throughout the theme park. Disney Fanatic has reported many incidents of line-cutting over the years, and the situation seems to worsen every day. One response couldn’t understand why people would believe it was alright to behave in this manner.

It would never ever occur to me to cut in line ever. I don’t get it at all. But it seems to be a common occurrence!

Challenges Faced by Cast Members

Disney Cast Members, the main guardians of the theme park’s queue lines, share visitors’ frustration regarding line-cutting. However, they face formidable challenges in addressing the issue effectively. Cast Members rely on visual confirmation to identify line cutters and intervene. In long queues that snake for hundreds of feet, culprits often disappear from sight, rendering enforcement difficult.

Moreover, Cast Members must tread carefully when accusing parkgoers of wrongdoing. Accusations can lead to confrontations, and without clear evidence, neutrality is often the wisest course. This further complicates efforts to curb line-cutting.

Disney’s Efforts to Combat Line-Cutting

Disney has implemented various measures to discourage line-cutting. Signage throughout the parks serves as a reminder of the rules. Technology, such as virtual queues and Genie+ lightning lanes, has been introduced to reduce the incentive for traditional line-cutting. Still, the effectiveness of these measures remains a point of debate among parkgoers.

Have you ever dealt with a line cutter at Disney World? What do you think of this particular incident? Selfish and entitled behavior at a Disney theme park is never okay. However, more and more people believe they are the main characters in the story nowadays and have little regard for their fellow parkgoers.

  1. It really gets old that people reference a person who is rude as a Karen, especially when your name is Karen. It really stinks that it has become part of Disney lingo. 😞

    1. Probably won’t help but just know in our family we call that personality an “MTG” for Marjorie Taylor Greene. That’s the a specific level of crazy without dragging innocent people into it with a generic name.
