The Sleeping Beauty Bridge, which gracefully connects Main Street, U.S.A. to the enchanting Sleeping Beauty Castle, is currently undergoing significant restoration efforts. Over the past year, this beloved structure has faced increasing challenges, with noticeable cracks becoming evident in its architecture.
These imperfections have sparked a series of repair attempts throughout 2024, but as 2025 unfolds, the work continues as Disneyland Paris endeavors to restore the bridge to its former glory.
DLP Report shared an update regarding the project, noting that some repairs have been made.
🔧 Some repairs have been made on the crumbling Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge. Feels like a bandaid on a bullet wound, but isn’t that often the way.. pic.twitter.com/6N40b6CpBc

This project is not entirely new; the bridge has experienced a history of necessary fixes since the park’s opening in 1992. Previous repair attempts included the erection of construction walls surrounding the area to ensure guest safety while work was conducted. Often, these temporary solutions resembled “band-aids on bullet wounds,” a sentiment echoed by jesting fans who recognize the need for more thorough repairs. The current visual updates show construction walls once again encasing sections of the bridge, while specialists meticulously assess the damage and initiate restoration processes.
Sleeping Beauty Castle is a centerpiece of Disneyland Paris, celebrated for its unique design and thematic intricacy. Unlike its counterparts in the United States, the Parisian castle draws inspiration from a blend of fairy tales and French culture, featuring stunning turrets and picturesque scenery that enchant all who visit. Imagineers deftly intertwined elements from the storied history of the tale, enriching the experience with layers of artistic detail.
This castle holds a distinctive place in the Disney pantheon, often regarded as one of the most beautiful iterations among the various Disney parks. When guests compare it to structures like Cinderella Castle in Florida or Disneyland in California, they find an allure that is uniquely Parisian. The cultural impact of this castle extends beyond mere aesthetics; it enhances the overall experience of Disneyland Paris, offering guests an immersive journey into the fantasy realm of Sleeping Beauty.
The layout of Disneyland Paris showcases two primary parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. Each provides a myriad of attractions integrated with the charm and creativity that Disney is renowned for. In Disneyland Park, visitors can enjoy a mix of beloved rides from around the globe while also discovering exclusive experiences entirely unique to Paris.
Among the park’s prized attractions is Phantom Manor, a thrilling experience tailored to tell a story set in a haunted Wild West—quite different from the Haunted Mansion variations found elsewhere. Space Mountain also offers a unique twist, having been redesigned as Hyperspace Mountain, marrying the excitement of a roller coaster with the thematic elements of the Star Wars universe. Additionally, announcements regarding future developments within Walt Disney Studios suggest a rebranding to Disney Adventure World, further enhancing the park’s ambition to expand offerings and redefine its entertainment landscape.
