‘Coco’ Characters Join Magic Kingdom Parade in Stunning New Float

After years of anticipation, Disney is finally delivering on its promise to bring a fresh, unforgettable experience to the park’s nighttime offerings with the debut of the Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away parade. This parade is set to light up Main Street, U.S.A., with stunning floats, spectacular lighting displays, and a new lineup of Disney favorites, including characters from Coco.

The excitement surrounding this new parade has been building ever since Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced its arrival at the D23 Expo last year.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of a nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom since the conclusion of the Main Street Electrical Parade in 2016. While Disney has introduced several daytime parades, a nighttime spectacle featuring dazzling lights and beloved characters has long been a missing piece.

Now, Disney is delivering with Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away, promising an enchanting visual experience that will rival any parade before it.

A Parade Full of Disney Magic

The Disney Starlight parade will feature floats inspired by some of Disney’s most iconic films, bringing magic to life in the form of stunning light displays.

Early sneak peeks have shown floats from classics like Peter Pan (1953), Frozen (2013), Pinocchio (1940), and Moana (2016), alongside Encanto (2021). There will also be a float dedicated to some of the most beloved Disney princesses, including Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, and Aurora, offering fans a chance to see their favorite royals together in one breathtaking parade.

But one of the most exciting reveals is a brand-new float inspired by the hit Pixar film Coco (2017). This float will feature Miguel, the film’s young protagonist, along with Dante, his loyal dog, and Pepita, the mystical alebrije that protects Miguel’s family in the Land of the Dead.

The float promises to be an eye-catching addition, with vibrant colors and a theme that perfectly ties in with the parade’s nighttime celebration. Miguel will be seen standing on the Marigold Bridge, with the magical Land of the Dead beautifully illuminated behind him, creating a dreamlike effect for guests as they watch the parade unfold.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience

The Coco-inspired float will not only bring characters from the film to life but will be accompanied by music that perfectly captures the spirit of Coco. Expect to hear mariachi music playing as the float makes its way down Main Street, U.S.A., adding to the festive atmosphere of the parade.

To add even more drama, skull-shaped fireworks will light up the night sky, further enhancing the emotional connection to the themes of family and remembrance that Coco beautifully represents.
