Disney Springs is losing its face painting kiosk for good.
The location, operated by Enjoy Your Face, permanently closes on September 26, 2026, according to reports.
Saturday is the last day.

Parks Are Not Affected
Say this part first, because the story is already being misread.
Only the Disney Springs location is closing.
Enjoy Your Face kiosks across the Walt Disney World theme parks continue operating normally. Face painting is not leaving Disney World.
No reason for the Disney Springs closure has been announced. No replacement has been named for the space.
Why Parents Care About a Kiosk
A face painting stand closing sounds minor. The reaction says otherwise.
The reason is simple math. Disney Springs has very few things a child can actually do.
The full list runs about this long: the splash fountains, the LEGO Store build areas, the Marketplace carousel, the little train, and the Happy Hound kiosk if buying a stuffed animal counts.

Everything else is a store you walk through or a restaurant you sit in.
Face painting did something none of the others do. It took up time. Fifteen or twenty minutes with a kid in a chair, entertained by someone who is not their parent, walking away with something they are proud of.
For a family deep into a shopping trip with a worn out preschooler, that was not a souvenir. That was a break.
Nothing left at Disney Springs fills that role.
Seven Permits, Same Week
Separately, Walt Disney World filed seven construction permits for Disney Springs on Tuesday, September 22.
The biggest covers the footbridge over the lagoon linking Marketplace and Town Center. Buena Vista Construction Company is listed as contractor for general construction.
The other six cover Paddlefish, Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, UNIQLO, The LEGO Store, the Happy Hound merchandise kiosk, and The BOATHOUSE.

All seven expire September 21, 2027. Disney has acknowledged none of them.
One detail explains how to read them. They came from Disney’s Facility Asset Management Team, which handles maintenance and refurbishment. Work that would genuinely reshape an area typically runs through Walt Disney Imagineering.
So these lean toward upkeep, not reinvention.
Still worth noting that two of the seven, The LEGO Store and Happy Hound, are on the short list of kid friendly spots in the district.
None of this has been linked to the face painting closure. Same week, separate stories.
Stroller Families, Watch the Bridge
The footbridge permit is the one with real family impact.
No closure has been announced. But if that bridge goes down for maintenance, the alternative is the land route between Marketplace and Town Center, which is much longer.
Fine on your own. Very different with a stroller, a bag, and a kid who is finished for the day.
Before Saturday
The kiosk runs through the end of day September 26 if you want one last design.
After that, the theme park locations are your option and are operating normally.
If Disney Springs was your low key day between park days, it is worth planning what replaces that quiet hour. The LEGO Store and the fountains are still there, and both cost nothing.
Nothing Else Confirmed
Disney has not commented on the closure, explained it, or said what goes in the kiosk’s place.
The company has also said nothing about the seven permits or its plans for those locations.
The only firm date here is Saturday.
