Former NBA Experience Building Gets Major Disney Springs Milestone

Disney Springs is getting ready to add a brand-new experience to its growing lineup of dining, shopping, and entertainment offerings. After months of construction updates and speculation from fans, Level99 has finally confirmed when guests will be able to step inside its highly anticipated Orlando location.

The interactive gaming venue will officially open on June 29, bringing a completely different type of attraction to Walt Disney World. Located inside the former NBA Experience building on the West Side of Disney Springs, Level99 is taking over one of the largest entertainment spaces in the district.

The opening announcement wasn’t exactly straightforward, though.

Rather than simply posting the date online, Level99 challenged fans to solve a puzzle hidden within an Instagram video. The company encouraged followers to decode a series of clues that would reveal the grand opening date. Naturally, Disney fans quickly got to work trying to crack the mystery.

The challenge sparked plenty of debate online. Some people thought the clues pointed to a July opening, while others interpreted the numbers and symbols differently. Eventually, one user suggested the answer was June 29, and Level99’s response seemed to confirm the guess before the company officially revealed the date.

That playful approach makes sense for a business built around challenges and problem-solving.

For guests unfamiliar with the concept, Level99 combines physical activities, mental puzzles, and competitive games into one large experience. Instead of standing in line for rides, visitors move throughout the venue attempting dozens of different challenge rooms and activities with friends and family.

The Disney Springs location will feature 63 unique challenges, making it the largest Level99 venue the company has opened so far. Guests receive a wristband that tracks progress and unlocks games throughout the building. Challenges typically last only a few minutes, allowing visitors to keep moving and try multiple experiences during a single visit.

The attraction is designed to appeal to a wide audience. Some games test balance and agility, while others focus on teamwork, strategy, and logic.

Food and drinks will also play a major role in the experience. The venue will include a large two-story bar along with a menu featuring Detroit-style pizza, burgers, appetizers, cocktails, and other offerings.

Disney Springs has evolved significantly over the past decade, becoming much more than a shopping center. Attractions like Drawn to Life, Splitsville, and other entertainment options have helped transform the district into a destination of its own.

Level99 appears poised to continue that trend.

For many Disney fans, this opening is particularly interesting because it brings interactive entertainment back to a building that has struggled to find a long-term identity since DisneyQuest closed. While Level99 is its own concept, the focus on hands-on experiences has already drawn comparisons from longtime Disney visitors.

Starting June 29, guests will finally have the chance to see what all the excitement is about.
