Disney World Could Move These 7 Rides To Different Parks

Disney World is home to four theme parks, each with its own identity. But as the resort continues to expand its biggest franchises into dedicated lands, some established attractions are beginning to look as though they might fit better somewhere else.

Take Jungle Cruise, for example. Its joke-filled expedition through tropical rivers makes perfect sense in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, but Disney’s Animal Kingdom could easily offer an alternative home for the wildlife-themed attraction.

Similarly, “it’s a small world” has long been a Fantasyland favorite, yet its celebration of international cultures would arguably suit EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Elsewhere, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin could join Slinky Dog Dash and Toy Story Mania! in Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land, giving the Pixar franchise another attraction in its dedicated backyard setting. The park could also become home to Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, particularly with the upcoming Monstropolis land expanding the franchise’s presence there.

Not every potential relocation involves Hollywood Studios, however. Frozen Ever After is firmly established in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion, but its fairy-tale setting would hardly look out of place in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind presents another possibility, with its intergalactic adventure perhaps better suited to Hollywood Studios’ movie-inspired surroundings than EPCOT.

Then there’s Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge already dominating part of Hollywood Studios, the older attraction can feel slightly disconnected from the franchise’s newer experiences, despite being located nearby.

Of course, moving any of these attractions would be an expensive and complicated undertaking, and Disney has little reason to relocate rides that continue to entertain guests. Still, as the resort evolves, it’s interesting to imagine how different its parks might look if some familiar favorites found new homes.
