X-Men Are Getting a Bigger Marvel Role
Marvel Studios is already laying the groundwork for the X-Men’s future within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Sadie Sink has been confirmed to play Jean Grey in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men film. The movie will feature a new version of the mutant team and continue expanding their presence within Marvel Studios’ larger universe.
For longtime X-Men fans, that makes Disney World’s latest merchandise arrival particularly timely.
Rather than waiting for the upcoming movie, guests visiting EPCOT can already find merchandise centered around familiar characters and the X-Men ’97 brand.
Disney brought the collection to the park through Marvel Vault, with Heroes & Villains collaborating on the X-Men ’97 lineup.
That gives Disney World visitors a new way to celebrate the franchise while Marvel prepares for its next chapter on the big screen. It also puts several recognizable X-Men names and designs directly in front of EPCOT shoppers right now.
And the collection certainly isn’t subtle.

X-Men Addition Arrives at EPCOT
The new merchandise draws heavily from classic X-Men colors while adding a racing-inspired look throughout several pieces.
One of the least expensive options is the X-Men ’97 Racing Hat. Priced at $36.99, the soft mesh hat mixes black, dark blue, and gray. Racing-style graphics appear around the “X ’97” design, while an adjustable strap and Marvel Studios X-Men patch appear on the back.
Guests looking for apparel have several choices.
The Dark Blue Racing T-Shirt costs $46.99 and uses Dri-FIT material with yellow stitching. “X ’97” appears on the chest, while names including Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Gambit, Rogue, and Magneto run down the front.
The White Racing T-Shirt also costs $46.99. It features black raglan stitching, colorful racing designs along the sides, and “X ’97 MUTANT LIBERATION” across the front. A Heroes & Villains emblem appears near the back collar.
For guests who want something other than clothing, Disney is also selling an X-Men ’97 Crossbody Bag for $49.99.
The dark blue and black bag features a reflective X-Men logo, yellow trim, red accents, padded mesh on the back, and an adjustable wearable strap.
Then there’s the collection’s most expensive piece.

Buying Everything Will Cost More Than $270
The X-Men ’97 Bomber Jacket carries a $89.99 price tag.
The blue nylon jacket features a red, gold, and white V-stripe pattern. An embroidered X-Men logo sits on the chest, with a much larger logo covering the back. Side pockets, a yellow zipper pull, and additional X-Men ’97 branding complete the design.
Buying one item may not make a huge dent in a Disney vacation budget, but purchasing the entire collection is another story.
The five pieces cost $270.95 altogether before tax.
That’s a significant amount for guests who may already be spending heavily on park admission, a hotel stay, food, transportation, and other merchandise during their Disney World vacation.
Of course, fans don’t have to buy everything. The price range gives guests options based on how much they’re willing to spend.

Disney Gives X-Men Fans Something New Right Now
The new EPCOT merchandise gives X-Men fans something tangible to enjoy while Marvel Studios prepares for the team’s larger MCU future.
Guests can keep things relatively simple with the $36.99 hat, pick up one of the racing shirts, add the crossbody bag to their collection, or spend considerably more on the bomber jacket.
There is enough variety to build a smaller haul without reaching the collection’s full price. Still, fans who want every new X-Men ’97 item available at EPCOT will face a much steeper bill.
For anyone tempted to collect the whole lineup, that $270.95 total may warrant a closer look.
Marvel may have big plans ahead for the X-Men, but celebrating the mutants at Disney World can already come with a pretty big price tag.
