Opening day is supposed to be the payoff.
Fresh menus. Nothing reviewed yet. Full merchandise racks. You get to be the one telling everyone what to order. Plenty of guests plan entire trips around day one for exactly that.
Now picture walking into the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival on opening day and finding a closed lounge, a drink lineup nobody is pouring, and five Global Marketplaces that will not open for weeks.
That is what guests found.
The festival opened on August 27 and runs through November 21. This is the thirtieth year of the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT, and it raises the bar rather than lowering it.
What People Reported
Complaints hit social media within hours. “Apparently the Florida Blue Lounge for Epcot’s Food and Wine festival is closed,” wrote Threads user kates_takes. “It’s opening day of the fest and things do not seem ready today. Joffrey’s fest coffees are not available today either which is a bummer.” Two problems, one post.View on Threads
The Missing Drinks
Joffrey’s has a full festival lineup this year, and it is a good one. All four drinks are new. All four are built on Joffrey’s Affogato-flavored Cold Brew with oat milk, stationed at four different spots:- Affogato alle Mandorle Cold Brew, almond syrup, whipped cream, toffee nut sauce, at The American Adventure
- Dolce Affogato Cold Brew, sugar cane syrup, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, near Disney Traders
- Notte di Caramello Cold Brew, caramel syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon, between the UK and Canada
- Affogato di Marshmallow Cold Brew, toasted marshmallow syrup, whipped cream, graham crackers, near Cosmic Rewind
