Disney Parks Slash Ticket Prices for College Students (But at Two Parks Only)

Disney park tickets have risen sharply over the past decade, pushing many guests to plan visits around discounts rather than dates. For students and younger travelers, even small price differences can determine whether a trip happens at all.

That pressure is now being felt outside the United States. Tokyo Disney Resort, long considered one of Disney’s more affordable destinations, has also moved toward demand-based pricing tied to holidays and seasonal events.

A College-Only Ticket at Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo Disney Resort is introducing a discounted one-day ticket called the College Passport. The offer is available exclusively to students enrolled in higher-education institutions.

The ticket provides one-day admission to either Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. Tokyo DisneySea remains a major draw following the opening of Fantasy Springs.

Fantasy Springs includes themed areas inspired by Peter Pan (1953), Tangled (2010), and Frozen (2013), adding new capacity and renewed interest during the winter season.

Eligibility is limited to students attending universities, graduate schools, junior colleges, and technical schools. Junior high and high school students are not eligible.

Age is not a factor. Guests of any age may purchase the ticket if they can present valid student identification, which may be checked at park entry.

Sales began at 2:00 p.m. on November 13, 2025, and continue through March 13, 2026. Admission using the ticket is valid from January 13 through March 13, 2026.

Prices range from 7,000 yen to 9,000 yen, roughly $45 to $57, depending on the visit date. Standard adult tickets during that period cost between 8,400 yen and 10,900 yen.

The difference is modest but meaningful. For student groups traveling together, the savings can add up quickly.

Purchases are limited to the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Website and the Tokyo Disney Resort App. Park ticket booths will not sell or modify this ticket.

The promotion coincides with the return of the 1-Day Park Hopper Passport, available from January 13 through March 31, 2026.

Tokyo Disney Resort also plans to press pause on its nighttime spectacular, Believe! Sea of Dreams, at Tokyo DisneySea for over a month in early 2026.

The College Passport stands out within Disney’s global portfolio. Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort do not currently offer student-exclusive tickets, despite their large college-age visitor base.
