Disney Cast Member Reveals That This Popular “Hack” Is Surprisingly BANNED
Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are renowned for their magical experiences and unforgettable moments. However, one aspect that often dampens the Disney experience is the long lines that accompany many of the Park’s popular attractions. Whether you’re visiting the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Park, or Disney California Adventure Park, waiting in line is an inevitable part of the theme park experience.
While some strategies and add-ons can be used to help expedite the line-waiting process, the truth of the matter is that most fans will end up waiting for the full extent of the ride’s line. To help alleviate some of the physical pains that come along with this, Guests have discovered a very clever line “hack.”

Wait Without the Pain With This New Hack!
Some clever fans on social media have begun sharing with fellow fans the concept of bringing a portable stool with them to sit on while waiting in line for rides. These stools are usually very lightweight and compact, making them an easy addition to your Park bag. For those of us who suffer from bad backs, knees, and hips, a portable seating option like this could be a game-changer for those long attraction lines.
However, it seems that this hack may be too good to be true.
Former Cast Member Reveals Disney’s Strict Ruling
According to a former Cast Member, these portable stools are not allowed to be used by Guests. In fact, Cast Members may confiscate them if they see you using them. While the Cast Member was not able to give a definitive reason as to why they are banned, they elaborated that Guests should avoid any and all use of such stools.

Some Guests in the comment section of this video have concluded possible reasons as to why these stools are banned. Reasons cited could be fire codes or possibly Disney trying to increase the sale of their Genie+ and Lightning Lane services.
Whatever the reason may be, you may want to reconsider investing in one of these stools before your next trip.

Rules rules rules. Most rules seem to be created to ensure they make as much money as possible.
I’m betting one of the reasons for the ban on a chair of any type is that it will slow up,and therefore lengthen the line… As instead of just stepping forward, now one has to rise, maybe fold the device or not, move up redeploy it and then sit. Plus it’s going to take up at min 2x the space of a person standing. Then exaggerating all that by say 1/2 the people in line…..
