As we begin planning our 2022 Walt Disney World vacations, there are a few dates that we think adding Genie+ to our tickets will be extremely helpful.
For $15/day/person, Genie+ gives Guests the ability to use the Lightning Lanes at over 40 attractions throughout the four Theme Park thus saving time in line and being able to experience more during their day in a Disney Park.
These dates are ones that we believe by adding Genie+ you will save significant time in line providing you a fun Walt Disney World day. We hope that by providing these dates to you, you can better determine if Genie+ will be a good investment during your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
New Years Eve and New Years Day
Two of the busiest times of the year in Walt Disney World are both New Years Eve and New Years Day. If you are planning on visiting one of the four Theme Parks during these two days, we highly recommend adding on Genie+.
Since a lot of fans like to start the new year in Walt Disney World in Magic Kingdom, and we don’t blame them, wait times for attractions get extremely long. By adding Genie+ you can enjoy more of the magic and less time in line.
The next time period we would recommend looking into adding Genie+ would be spring break. Spring break crowds typically start around early March and run through the end of April.
People head to Florida during spring break to get away from the cold and to see some sun and have some fun. With kids out of school for a few days, families look to use this break to get away to a Disney Park.
Genie+ will be a good addition during spring break so you can enjoy more such as EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival and even the pool along with the warmer weather.
Ironically the next date is a specific one that many Guests might not think about, but it is May 4th. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will see an increase in crowds on May 4th as Star Wars fans head to Batuu to celebrate “May the Fourth Be With You”.
If you find yourself heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on this day, we highly recommend adding Genie+ so you can avoid long lines that will form especially in Galaxy’s Edge.
Three Day Weekends
Three day weekends are another time when we would suggest looking into getting Genie+ to avoid the crowds.
As families get ready to start summer, Memorial Day at Walt Disney World sees a lot of families visiting. With sunshine and warmer weather almost guaranteed, people love to head down during this holiday weekend.
Labor Day is similar in that families that are looking for one last summer vacation will head down to Walt Disney World making crowds higher than normal. Temperatures are still warm and families look forward to one last get away before school starts back up again.
Other three day weekends such as Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents’ Day, and Columbus Day also see an increase in crowds as students often have time off from school so families take time to get away together.
Genie+ can be extremely helpful during these shorter visits so you can maximize time experiencing the Parks instead of waiting in line.
As you can imagine, the summer months in Walt Disney World bring larger crowds as kids are out of schools and families take their big summer vacations. With Walt Disney World being one of the top family vacation destinations, we see crowds build in June, July and August.
With the increase in crowds we also see an increase in heat which can make it extremely difficult to be in a Theme Park standing in line for a ride.
Genie+ would allow Guests visiting during those summer months to take breaks during the heat of the afternoon and enjoy the pool.
Being able to bypass the longer standby lines during the summer heat can be a huge bonus that Genie+ would provide.
4th of July
While looking at the summer months, 4th of July is when we see a peak in crowds at Walt Disney World.
The 4th of July is a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World especially when fireworks are happening in the parks, but crowds also increase as well.
If you are thinking about visiting during this holiday, you will want to consider adding Genie+ so you can manage the crowds and the heat that usually comes along with this holiday celebration in Walt Disney World.
Visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays such as Halloween,Thanksgiving and Christmas can be an extremely magical experience. From the amazing decorations, holiday specific touches and the opportunity to attend holiday events, so many absolutely love visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season.
Because of this, Genie+ will be a great investment during these times as well. By being able to use Genie+ to bypass the longer lines, Guests can truly enjoy the extra touches of magic during the holiday season.
The last date we would recommend looking at adding Genie+ to is when runDisney events take place in Walt Disney World. Runners have returned to Walt Disney World in high numbers after having races canceled the last few years and we are thrilled to see this once again.
Disney’s Marathon Weekend starts typically the second week of January and is the biggest running event of the year.
Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend is scheduled normally for the second week in February.
A new Springtime Surprise Weekend is being held in 2022 March 31st to April 3rd.
The running series wraps up with Disney’s Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend typically in the middle of November.
These are amazing events and with them comes larger crowds as both runners and cheer squad members arrive and visit the Parks.
If you are thinking about participating in one of these runDisney events, or if you happen to be in Walt Disney World during one, we recommend looking at Genie+ as a way to have less wait times.
Genie+ is a great way to lower your wait time for attractions throughout the four Theme Parks. If you are heading down during one of these dates, we would suggest looking into purchasing Genie+ for $15.
We hope this helps you determine if Genie+ might be a great option for your Walt Disney World vacation.
