Tragic Incident Occurs at New Disney Area
Zootopia Land at Shanghai Disneyland Resort is a new, immersive, and magical experience that brings the beloved characters and vibrant world of Disney’s hit film, Zootopia (2016), to life. Nestled within the enchanting grounds of Shanghai Disneyland, this new addition offers guests of all ages the chance to step into the bustling metropolis of Zootopia and embark on exciting adventures alongside their favorite characters, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
As you enter Zootopia land, you are immediately transported into the bustling cityscape that captures the essence of the film. The attention to detail is truly remarkable, from the towering skyscrapers to the intricately designed storefronts that line the streets. Everywhere you look, there are nods to the different districts of Zootopia, each with its own unique charm and atmosphere.
In addition to the immersive experiences and themed dining, Zootopia Land also features thrilling attractions that are sure to delight guests of all ages. One such attraction is the “Hot Pursuit” dark ride, where you’ll join Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on a high-speed chase through the city streets. Unfortunately, this magical attraction was also the site of a tragic accident.
Child’s Innocent Mistake Resulted in Horrifying Result
One rule that Disney emphasizes on every ride is to keep all limbs inside the vehicle at all times. Unfortunately, it seems that one child broke this role. It has been reported that a child riding the Zootopia: Hot Pursuit ride allegedly reached down onto the ride’s tracks to collect an item that had fallen. This mistake seems to have resulted in the child being run over by a ride vehicle.

It is important now more than ever to follow Disney’s safety instructions very closely. If riding with a child, make sure to keep and eye on them to prevent these incidents from happening.
