Popular attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Test Track are already scheduled for extended closures, and now yet another fan-favorite spot is set to shut its doors—Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

When Is Hurricane Hanna’s Closing?

Guests hoping to enjoy a drink with a view of Stormalong Bay will need to make alternative plans, as Hurricane Hanna’s will be closed from January through June 2025. This closure is happening alongside the refurbishment of the resort’s main pool, Stormalong Bay, and the Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

The closure means visitors won’t have access to the quick-service restaurant during their stay, which could be disappointing for those looking forward to its refreshing cocktails and light bites.

Why Is It Closing?

Routine maintenance and upgrades are the primary reasons for this temporary closure. Disney frequently takes time to refresh its resort amenities, ensuring they continue to provide top-tier experiences for guests. While the downtime might be frustrating, it often leads to improvements that guests can enjoy in the long run.

What Are the Alternatives?

While Stormalong Bay and Hurricane Hanna’s will be off-limits, guests staying at the Beach Club Resort won’t be entirely out of luck. The Tidal and Dune Coves pools at the Beach Club, along with the Admiral Pool at the Yacht Club, will remain open. Additionally, popular dining spots like Beaches & Cream Soda Shop will still be available, though construction noise may be noticeable during daytime hours.

How to Plan Around These Closures

If you’re planning a visit during the first half of 2025, it’s a good idea to check for updates on closures and refurbishments before finalizing your itinerary. Disney often provides alternative experiences, but knowing what’s unavailable ahead of time can help avoid any unwelcome surprises.

As with all refurbishments, the closure timeline could change, so staying informed through Disney’s official channels and planning sites is a must for guests looking to make the most of their vacation.
