An Overview of Disney World's 8 Deluxe Resort Hotels

Boardwalk Inn

4. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

The next Deluxe Resort hotel to make the transcendence into nostalgia and reminisce is Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Located within the Epcot Resort Area, this popular lodging choice follows the traditional theming and design pattern of old Atlantic City as it was back in the early 1900s, with its striped awnings, flagged turrets, vibrant hues, and more. Likewise, the surrounding promenade doubles as the traditional major social hub that eager visitors can come out to enjoy by way of the myriad activities, entertainments, and dining options. As for lodging, Disney’s BoardWalk offers both traditional room dwellings as well as villa accommodations to house larger groups. The resort opened to the public back in 1996.

As previously mentioned, the entertainment district that encompasses the BoardWalk Promenade boasts an assortment of features that include but not limited to the Atlantic Dance Hall, Jellyrolls and its popular dueling piano shows, a range of shopping venues, night clubs, bakeries and other eating establishments, and loads of carnival-like follies to put you in mind of good old Coney Island. The hotel resort itself also presents myriad amenities for guests staying onsite. Swimming pools, tennis, movies under the stars, arcade games, jogging, and yoga on the lawn are just some of the recreational activities to take to here.

Dining at Disney’s BoardWalk comes with many detectable options. ESPN Club is a favorite sports bar selection with more than 100 televisions, an arcade, and great American classics available for lunch and dinner. There’s also Big River Grille & Brewing Works, the only microbrewery located at Disney World. Here you can enjoy a wide range of lunch and dinner favorites as well as a wide selection of different beers. Trattoria al Forno is a great Italian eatery that features all the classics for dinner and even a unique character dining engagement for breakfast in which Ariel and Eric from The Little Mermaid and Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled make appearances. Other great gastronomic options to consider include Flying Fish, BoardWalk Bakery, Belle Vue Lounge, and many others.
