Disney Springs’ Hardest Brunch Reservation Just Got a Little Easier for the 4th of July
If you’ve ever tried booking brunch at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, you already know the struggle. This restaurant is consistently one of the toughest reservations to land at Disney Springs, and for good reason. But good news for the 4th of July weekend: there’s officially one more day to snag a table.
Normally, brunch at Homecomin’ is only served on Saturdays and Sundays. For the holiday weekend, though, they’re adding Friday into the mix too. So instead of two shots at a reservation, you’ve got three.
The restaurant shared the news on Instagram, calling it three days of brunch with sweet, savory, and sippable options. Honestly, that sounds about right for Homecomin’.
What You’ll Actually Be Eating at Brunch
Brunch runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. all three days. If you’re someone who likes to linger, the full lunch menu becomes available starting at 11:00 a.m., so you can stretch the meal out a bit longer if you want.
Two dishes worth knowing about going in: the Chicken and Waffles and the Hallelujah Biscuit. Both get called out by name in the restaurant’s own announcement, so if you needed a reason to go beyond “it’s the 4th of July,” that’s basically your answer.
Why People Love This Place So Much
Homecomin’ leans hard into Florida farm-to-table cooking, and it shows. The menu changes a little with the seasons depending on what’s actually available, which is a nice change from the usual theme park dining script.
There’s also the moonshine. Homecomin’ is known for handcrafted moonshine cocktails, and a lot of regulars will tell you the back porch seating, overlooking the springs, is half the experience. It’s one of those restaurants where people don’t just eat and leave. They sit, they sip, they stay a while.
Chef Art Smith himself has a pretty notable background too. Before opening Homecomin’, he spent years as Oprah Winfrey’s personal chef and has opened restaurants across the country. Despite all that, he’s talked about Florida being home, which tracks with how personal this restaurant feels compared to a typical sit-down spot in Disney Springs.
Booking Tips If You Want In On Brunch
Given how popular Homecomin’ already is, this extended brunch weekend is going to fill up fast, especially that new Friday slot since it doesn’t normally exist. If you’re hoping to get a table, your best move is booking through the My Disney Experience app as early as you can, especially if you’ve got a bigger group.
One more thing worth mentioning: Homecomin’ offers discounts for Cast Members, First Responders, and military guests. If that applies to you, it’s worth asking your server about when you check in.
So if you’ve been wanting an excuse to finally try Homecomin’, or you’re already a regular looking for an extra reservation window, this 4th of July weekend might be your best shot. Three days of brunch instead of two doesn’t happen often, so it’s probably worth jumping on while you can.
