7 Times of the Year When Walt Disney World is Insanely Busy

1. New Year’s Eve

I’ve been at Disney during the busiest times of the year and none of them compare to New Year’s Eve, in my opinion. Magic Kingdom normally reaches capacity very early in the day and Epcot can experience some closures as well. Disney’s Hollywood Studios doesn’t usually experience closures and Disney’s Animal Kingdom closes earlier than the other parks, which means you’ll need to make other arrangements for ringing in the new year. Magic Kingdom and Epcot are the most fun parks to celebrate in just because of how electric the atmosphere is. Magic Kingdom has a huge dance party in front of the castle while Epcot has fun entertainment going on in every country of the World Showcase—and you can drink if you’re 21 and over. It’s crowded and is usually a bit chilly, but I believe everyone should experience New Year’s Eve at Disney once in the life, especially because the fireworks displays are incredible.

The busiest times of the year can be kind of chaotic, but it can also be the most fun. You may wait in long lines and have little room to walk, but you’re still making memories that will last a lifetime and that is truly priceless. Try visiting during one of these times and see what kind of fun you can have!
