Let's Recap!
1. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Every fall the Magic Kingdom is transformed with festive leaves, jack-o-lanterns, and other vestments of Halloween. Guests can appreciate the decorations during the day, but on specific nights between the end of August and Halloween, guests can also experience the wonderment of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. During this special hard-ticket event, guests will be able to ride some of their favorite attractions, interact with some of their favorite characters, as well as trick-or-treat their way throughout the Magic Kingdom. Guests will also be treated to a phenomenal Halloween parade – the Boo To You Parade, as well as a special fireworks display! No Halloween party can be complete without guests coming and celebrating in their costumes!
2. Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival
Held every spring from March through May, the Flower and Garden Festival is quickly becoming a hugely popular event at Epcot. During this festival, guests can meander around the park and enjoy various topiaries shaped to classic Disney characters. Guests will also be treated to a variety of outdoor kitchens featuring delicious food and drink. There is even something for the kids — they’ll enjoy a walk through the butterfly garden, as well participating in the Easter egg scavenger hunt throughout the countries of World Showcase! The best part of this festival is that it is included in your regular admission to Epcot!
3. runDisney Event
Four times throughout the year, the Walt Disney World Resort is host to various runDisney events that invite guests to run in various events throughout the resort. Runners will be witness to spectacular views running in the early morning hours, as well as getting to experience fantastic moments — running through Cinderella Castle or past the countries of World Showcase! Depending on what facet of Disney excites you the most, guests are certain to find a race weekend to meet their needs!
4. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Another seasonal event at the Magic Kingdom, the Very Merry Christmas Party allows guests to explore the Magic Kingdom when it is adorned with an assortment of winter decorations. Cinderella Castle will be adorned with icicle lights, Main Street will be awash with snowflakes — both affixed to the lightposts, as well as falling from the sky above the buildings. During the party, guests will be treated to delicious seasonal snacks and drinks throughout the park, as well as treated to the best parade on property – Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Guests are guaranteed to love the characters, the music, and of course, a visit from Santa himself!
5. Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
Held during the fall, the Food and Wine Festival expands upon the countries of World Showcase with kiosks from other countries of the world! You’ll want to make sure you visit this festival hungry, with plenty of money, and our recommendation would also be to visit on a weekday when crowds are less intense and you’ll be able to enjoy the food and entertainment!
6. Star Wars Galactic Nights
A newer annual event that is held in late May, Star Wars Galactic Nights invites guests with allegiances to both the First Order or the Rebel Alliance. During this hard-ticket event, guests can experience various attractions throughout Hollywood Studios, as well as take part in special Star Wars activities – parades, fireworks, and stage shows. Guests will also be able to pose for pictures with their favorite characters. Once Galaxy’s Edge opens next year, we are confident that guests will be clamoring to get into this event!
7. Epcot Festival of the Holidays
A new addition to the festival lineup at Epcot, the Festival of the Holidays allows guests to visit the countries of the World Showcase and learn about how the country celebrate the holidays. Kids will enjoy learning more about the holidays, as well as participating in the scavenger hunt featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale!
With all of these special events, it is hard to visit Disney World when at least one of these events isn’t happening. Regardless of when your vacation is planned, guests will love any of these special events. Which are you most excited to check out?
