2. Contemporary Resort
One of the two original Disney World resorts, the Contemporary is the sleek, modern A-frame looking resort that is the closest to the Magic Kingdom allowing guests to walk to the park. The Monorail runs through the resort and offers guests a variety of restaurants to satisfy their appetites — Chef Mickey’s, the California Grill, the Contempo Café, the Wave of American Flavors, as well as some great lounges to relax in! Guests lucky enough to have a room with the view of the Magic Kingdom can even watch the fireworks from their room with the music piped into their rooms!
