4 Disney Resort Hotels with Easy Access to the Magic Kingdom

Polynesian Resort

3. The Polynesian

The Polynesian is another monorail resort, and is themed to the islands of the South Pacific. You will feel transported to a tropical island as soon as you step foot in the lobby (called the Great Ceremonial House). With lush foliage and tropical birds singing around you, you might actually believe you aren't at Disney anymore - but you'd be wrong! The Polynesian is two monorail stops from the Magic Kingdom and located across Seven Seas Lagoon from the park. You can also ride a boat to the Magic Kingdom or walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center, then catch a monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom. The food at the Polynesian is hard to beat, with O'hana being the headliner restaurant here. In the mornings, they serve character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, and in the evenings they serve family-style fare with a lot of fun and games. Kona Cafe is known for their incredible breakfast and dessert offerings. There's a couple of quick-service options and poolside lounges, too. You can spend the afternoon relaxing around the pool, and in the evening catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks or the Electrical Water Pageant  from the dock- or both! Just walking around the grounds of the Polynesian will make you feel like you are on a getaway, with sandy beaches and tropical plants around every turn. It's a great place to stay to truly disconnect with the real world.
