3. The Vested Look
This entry flies a bit under the radar, but it has come to the attention of a few attentive Disney fans. Our last entry dealt with Goofy as a meet and greet character and the amount of detail casting requires. However, one detail seems to have been getting past them for years. Before you go to your meet and greet with Goofy, pay attention to Goofy’s other appearances in the parks, i.e. the artwork, pictures, toys, and merchandise. There’s one particular detail that does not match his life-sized counterpart. In nearly all of his canonical appearances, Goofy is shown wearing a black or brown vest. However, the Goofy at the meet and greets is always wearing a bright yellow one. This may seem like a nitpick of a detail, but for a company with a reputation for attention to detail and continuity, this seems like an odd choice for Disney. Is currently unknown why this choice was made, but it still makes for an interesting tidbit to show your friends.
