5. Meet Max
Everyone is familiar with Goofy’s son Max, whether they were introduced to him through Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie, or Mickey’s House of Mouse. However, there is one thing about Goofy and Max that many fans seem to gloss over. Of Disney’s main characters, Goofy is the only one to have a flesh and blood son. Any Ducktales fan can identify Huey, Dewey, and Louie as Donald’s nephews and Disney historians will tell you about Mickey’s nephews, Mortie and Ferdie Fieldmouse, but Goofy is the only one to actually have a direct family relation. Some fans believe this was done to make Goofy seem more adult, appealing to older audience members. But whatever the reason, Max is still a very welcome addition to Disney’s extensive character roster.
