11 Things You’ll Love Doing at Disney’s Epcot Area Resorts

Beaches and Cream

9. Get ice cream at Beaches & Cream

One of the absolute best places to get an afternoon (or really, anytime) snack is Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at the Beach Club. Hidden away off of the main walkway against the main building, it is completely worth the effort to find it. We recommend getting a reservation for any times around normal meal times, as it does tend to get busy. Try the kitchen sink sundae to share with a crowd, or a frozen sunshine for yourself.

8. Watch an outdoor movie

At both the Yacht & Beach Clubs and the Boardwalk Inn, you can usually find an outdoor Disney playing after it gets dark. At the Boardwalk, this happens in the main courtyard adjacent to the Boardwalk itself. At the Yacht & Beach Clubs, you can find the big screen set up on the beach area bordering Crescent Lake. Feel free to pull up a beach chair or a patch of grass and settle down with your family for the whole movie, or watch a favorite scene and keep wandering. It’s a great way to cap off your day with a little extra dose of Disney magic.

7. Watch the fireworks from the bridge

Even if you aren’t entering Epcot, you can easily watch the highest fireworks from the nightly Illuminations in the World Showcase from the bridge between the Yacht & Beach Clubs side and the Boardwalk side of the Epcot area. One of our favorite memories to recreate each trip is to grab a snack from the Boardwalk, stroll to the bridge, and eat while watching these fireworks. If you time it right, you can also catch some of the fireworks from Hollywood Studios, depending on the fireworks offerings at the time of your visit.
