10 Things Rookies Don't Know About Walt Disney World

Cinderella Castle Bag

5. I can bring this in?

Many rookies are pleasantly surprised to learn that they can even bring outside food and (standard) beverage items with them to the different parks. While there are many theme parks that enact specific rules about all edible items having to be purchased once inside the park premises, Disney does not do this. Prior to entering any park, you will be required to have all your bags inspected at checkpoint, so you may want to inform the cast member tasked with this job that you have specific snack items. But assuming you are following protocol in bringing standard, ordinary snack items that don’t require heating and are not in glass jars (except for baby food), it should not be an issue at all. So feel free to pack those specialty organic granola bars you got from the local grocery store at home, or bring that authentic German chocolate you just purchased at Epcot’s World Showcase into the Magic Kingdom. If you didn’t have time for breakfast, grab something quick at the hotel food court to take with you to any park.
